Boy, do I love the spirit of this, MC. SO thoughtful! Thank you!

...

SO,...

I think "WE" gotta go Brady at QB, but it is close...  I will be interested to see if anybody suggests Delhomme.

At RB, I would actually go R. Williams, as per your current choices, but then, as you suggest, I would go with McGahee, who's starting to show a little life again and probably would like to finish out the way he started the season, BIG.  I think he can have some success running the ball on Cincy.  I just don't like Indy in Seattle this week after last week's let-down and now resting everybody, when Seattle still has A LOT at stake and need the win.  I think it's going to be an ugly day for Indy in the northwest.

I think you are going with the right three WR's, but I would consider Horn over Moulds based on matchup.

At D/ST, DEFINITELY Jacksonville.

...

Now,... GO GET 'EM!!!  ...   Goooooood luck!!! ...

Steg is right on here

I would also suggest Mcgahee over Rhodes.  The Colt's O-Line got BEAT UP last week against the Chargers so they most likely won't be playing them much this week. Cinci's run D has been suspect all year. Mcgahee will have some chances to break one. And Im sure even if Willis has an off day "like usuall" he would score as many points as Rhodes does.

I also like Horn over Moulds.  If Buffalo has a chance to win, it will be on the ground this week.  Cinci's pass D is really good, mainly Deltha O'neil (2006 Pro Bowl) who will be all over Moulds.  Joe Horn has ALWAYS ripped up the Panthers.  Granted Aaron Brooks was his QB, but I don't think that will make too much difference this week.  Horn is the better play.

Thank you Steg and O4L for your input.   Do you not think that Cincinati will put up monster points early against Buffalo...henceforth, eliminating Mcgahee's value? My fear   in that game is that the Bengals will score early and often, making McGahee a virtual non-factor. I used the same reasoning for starting Moulds, again thinking Cin. would get up and stay up and Buffalo would have to pass to try and keep up. I would never start 2 Bill's ever in the same game. If Willis is in then Horn is in...if Willis is out then that is why I had Moulds in. Any thoughts about that line of thinking?

Sure,... but couldn't the same thing happen in Seattle to Indy (and Rhodes)?  I think my choice of McGahee over Rhodes for this week is less of an endorsement of McGahee than it is an indictment of Rhodes.

Delholme--  Carolina is playing for something.  Brady is banged up and NE has clinched playoff spot with no chance of a bye.

McGahee and Williams-- Edge may get some carries in before Rhodes.  Cedric Houston may split with Blaylock.

I would go with Horn and Plax.  They are your best two scorers all year(besides Harrison who will rest with a broken hand).    Why mess with a good thing?

I would not over analyze.  That costs championships.

Something perhaps worth considering here, MC...  Currently from atop "The REAL Feed":

BELICHICK STAYS WITH STARTERS
Sporting Life: NFL (23.12.2005 02:39)
New England coach Bill Belichick will stick with a winning formula against the New York Jets.

Of course, it could just be rhetoric... and Double-D could be right...

With Lamont Jordan out in Oakland, another option I have would be to pick up Zack Crockett and start him. Not too sure about him though. I don't really know much about him, except he is the short yardage back. Anyone like him better than Ricky, Willis, Rhodes, or Cedrick Houston?

I dont know about that. This may sound wierd, but if Dungy is not on the sidelines this week, and I doubt he will be. The assistant head coach isnt gonna leave guys out there to get hurt. I look for a preseason like workout for James and the gang.

In this regaurd, even if seattle gets up big, the safest play in football is the run. Look for Rhodes to get a lot of work. If there is to be a carry thief it will be James mungro.

runningbacks- i would go with McGahee and Williams. Even though McGahee has been horrible and this game looks like it will be a blowout he should still do ok, I think better than Rhodes at least. remember that Cincy has clinched their division and indy has already gotten homefield, therefore this game really means nothing to the Bengals. Odds are they will sit their starters come halftime seeing what happened to the Colts last week. I also think the Bills will make it a point to get McGahee carries because he has only had 17 over the past two weeks. Also, the colts O-Line is beaten up (if they will all be playing anyways) and Rhodes will not be getting all the carries. Edge will probably run the first drive or two and then it will be handed over to Rhodes, but don't forget about Mungro. He is slated to get some carries too. all in all Rhodes will probably get 13-16 carries.

wide receivers- I know its tough to start a wr and rb from the bills, I hate doing that with any team, but with the Bills, that sucks. Look at Horns performance last week though. only one reception for six yards, and Stallworth getting 5 for 102. this leads me to beleive that Stallworth may be Bouman's go to guy. On the other hand, it is evident that Moulds is Holcomb's go to guy. as much as it sucks I think you gotta go with Moulds.

Good luck!

The only new thing I can add to this thread is here.  I would not expect Zack to do all that well against the Bronco run D.  See my Raider team report:

http://www.ffpro.com/teamreports/raiders/raiders-footballinfoframes.htm

Even Jordan would have had a tough match-up this week.  I think the best chance for the Raiders this week is in the passing game, and the Raiders will have to try to keep up - which will take the run game out of it.

With regard to the RB's, I lean toward McGahee and Williams.  Not advocating this but is Noah Herron available?

Yeah he's there and when I did my Packer report I noticed that he had carried the ball double the amount of Fisher...but I could never see starting any back-up against Chicago. Thanks everybody for all the input..it's great!!

I think Rhodes and Mcgahee is closer than it may seem. You have to play Mcgahee though. Other than that I'd stay put.

I completely agree with you tm...that is the major part of what has me stumped right now. I feel like Rhodes will get alot more carries than some are suggesting, somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 or so seems very possible to me. Thanks for the insight

Not sure if you can change your line up still or not.....Edge is OUT acording to Sportsline.  Rhodes looking like a decent play now.

Goes to show you what they know...Edge is in the game right now. I sat DJax, Edge and Harrison so things don't look great for me right now...although Ricky Williams came up big for me today. Everything will hinge on how Brady does for me and how Thomas Jones and Mason do for him! I'm still in this thing right now.....we will see. Thanks to all of you who tried to help me out.

C'mon Tom Brady...pick me up!   Need a 200 yard, 3 TD, 0 INT night from ya to be the CHAMP! Has anybody heard if he was definately playing or not. If not I could pick up Bollinger and pray for  big numbers, but obviously I would rather rely on Tommy Boy.

The Steelkings Need Dillon to score not once. Not twice. But three times tonite. Hows about Brady to dillon for three td"s. Thats what were lookin for.

Lost my Superbowl by 4 points...basically all I needed was for one of the two receivers who were stopped at the 1 yard line to have made the extra push!! Instead Dillon got himself two 1 yard TD's!!! Such is fantasy football. I'm done
