I am in the championship game this week and here is my lineup: The Boys Brian Merrill Click here to find out more! Teams & Owners · Lineup · Schedule · Service Time · Warnings · Roster Grid Click here to find out more! The Boys Roethlisberger, Ben QB PIT Anderson, Mike RB DEN Barber, Tiki RB NYG Boldin, Anquan WR ARI Ward, Hines WR PIT Heap, Todd TE BAL Graham, Shayne K CIN Vikings, DST DST MIN On Bench: Garrard QB Lamont Jordan RB ( Turf toe - questionable) Jamal Lewis RB Randy McMichael TE Jeremy Stevens TE Baltimore Defense Would you make any changes to my lineup? I was going to start Lamont Jordan but it appears he may not be 100% with a turf toe injury after he had an MRI. The only other questions I thought about were is Baltimore a better start than MN? I figured MN is playing for a playoff spot so they should be more motivated than Baltimore. Then at QB Garrard at Houston might be a possibility over Roethlisberger...

For the most part, your line up is pretty solid. Gerrard is playing Houston this week, which looks like it would be very inviting. But, the Texans have been a big thorn in Jacksonville's side. They always give them a run for their money and it wouldn't be too surprising if they actually beat them this week. Hell they almost beat them earlier this year. Pittsburgh is playing for a whole lot more then Jax. since the Jags hold the key to the AFC Wildard spot. So Big Ben is a good play this week. Baltimores' "D" looked like they were suppose too last week. And they would like nothing better than to take Minnesota down with them. The Vikings will be playing in Baltimore this week and I am picking the Ravens to win this one. I wouldn't go as far as saying put in Jamal Lewis or anything, but I would however suggest starting their Defense. What better motivation to a losing team is "Hey, if we're going down, these MoFos are going down with us" And Baltimore's D is better than Minnesota's. When they are playing the way they are suppose to. Good Luck P.S. I'm curious if you put in Stevens last week

I think we're missing links here, Brian... on Dec 22nd, 2005, 7:15am, BrianM123 wrote:The Boys Brian Merrill Click here to find out more! Teams & Owners · Lineup · Schedule · Service Time · Warnings · Roster Grid Click here to find out more! |
| Well, now, here I'm going to go and muddle the issue... At QB, I would actually go with Garrard. O4l may be right and the Texans may win the game. But, I think it is going to be on the high-scoring side, something to the tune of at least 24-21. Pittsburgh will probably beat Cleveland, but I think it's going to be an AFC Norris division low-scoring 14-10 battle. Both Pittsburgh and Jacksonville have a lot to play for. I'd go matchup here and go with Garrard over Roethlisberger. At RB, I think you are doing the right thing. At D/ST, I would actually stick with Minnesota for the reasons you state. But, it's a VERY close call. Baltimore is the home team and they did look great last Monday night, albeit against a pathetic Packers squad. And, mind you, Minnesota did alright last week even though they lost, but it was against a solid team, and the prior six or so weeks before that they had been awesome. I ultimately think this is going to be a low-scoring game, something to the tune of 17-14 at most. So, I think you are debating between two good options, actually. I would stick it out with Minnesota. Lastly, at TE, I would really meditate on this one. I like all three of your guys, Heap, Stevens and McMicheal, in that order I suppose, about equally this week. A good secondary can often spell good things for a tight-end and Minnesota surely has a great secondary. However, vis-a-vis Pittsburgh, given how poor Baltimore's set of wide receivers have been this year and how great Heap was last Monday night, for better or worse, I see them keying in on Heap. Now, that doesn't mean the Baltimore's WR's upstart Clayton and old-faithful Mason won't burn them a couple times and the game ends up back opening up for Heap, but... I think they are going to come in with the goal of stopping Heap. I just like Stevens going up against a skeleton crew Indy D in Seattle this week. I even think McMichael at home against Tennessee is a good play. You have three good options. I think Heap is the man, but I would really "research" this one to see if there is some nugget you can come up with that really separates one from the rest. Good luck! ... Oh, and, by the way,... really,... give us a hand ( and ) for the help we've given you this year; click here (link included ): http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/donate.htm.
