Hot off the Internet!

The Falcons completed a three team trade and finally added John Abraham.

The Falcons get Abraham and a mid round pick in 2006 and one in 2007 from the Broncos.

The Broncos get the Falcons number 1 pick (#15 overall) in 2006

The Jets get the Broncos number 1 pick (#29 overall)

A little offseason rhetorical self-proclamation hype from off "The REAL Feed":

Vick vows to show the real No. 7 this year
SI.com: NFL (20.04.2006 17:33)

What does it all mean? I wish I could say with confidence, "Vick Gone Wild in '06!!!"  But, who knows?

How about you shorten your theme to: "Vick Gone"

ESPN: NFL (11.07.2006 21:06)

This is a defense worth keeping an eagle out on... as per "The REAL Feed":

Pasquarelli: Falcons set to 'sack' the competition
ESPN: NFL (28.07.2006 17:13)
The addition of John Abraham gives the Falcons three DLs who could realistically post a double-digit sack season.

WR BRIAN FINNERAN most likely OUT for Season!

I guess that is one less WR that Vicky has.  This may increase the value of Roddy White.....  The second year player will not be the #3 any more and have a good chance to pass Michael Jenkins.....

Yeah, things don't sound promising for Finneran.  Anyway, I've been reading that Jenkins is developing a good rapport with Vick--more so than any of the other receivers.  I see it Jenkins #1, White #2, Pathon #3, and rookie Jennings #4.

I could envision Jenkins as a possible #2 FF guy, but more likely a #3. I don't see any of the others really making any fantasy impact (as long as Vick is the QB) other than White as a stopgap guy for a bye week or an injury fill-in.

Obviously, I'm still not sold on Vick, despite all of his off-season banter. If Vick goes down, I like this offense (especially the wideouts) quite a bit better from a fantasy standpoint with Schaub at the helm.

Vick a little "ham strung out"... according to "The REAL Feed":

Vick might miss two days with tweaked hamstring
SI.com: NFL (01.08.2006 23:06)

This is what you get with Vick,... constant health concerns that is.

Looks like Vick might have a new secret weapon to throw to... according to "The REAL Feed":

Falcons' Hall aspires to 'Deion' thing
Duluth News-Tribune: Football (09.08.2006 23:14)
DeAngelo Hall is one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL. Apparently, that's not enough. I say, "Brilliant!!!" He hits him enough during practice, so why not actually let him try throwing to him???

THIS is refreshing...  Currently atop "The REAL Feed":

Amazing feet: Falcons punter makes case as kicker
ESPN: NFL (12.08.2006 12:34)
In this age of specialization, the Atlanta Falcons may have actually discovered a jack-of-all-kicking-trades.

I'm "officially" rootin' for him...

Falcons still trying to deal "one-cutter" for a receiver (Gee, what team does all that sound like is primed for a deal with them?  But do they need him?  How about Lelie and T. Bell for Duckett and...???  Anyway,... back to the report!)... according to "The REAL Feed":

Hoping to fill holes, Falcons still in talks to deal Duckett
ESPN: NFL (22.08.2006 02:36)
Despite losing one suitor when the New York Jets acquired Kevan Barlow from San Francisco on Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons on Monday evening continued trade discussions involving tailback T.J. Duckett, the subject of trade rumors for much of the offseason.

(Edit:  You know, on second thought, with Domanick Davis's sore knee and former Bronco Gary Kubiak the head coach in Houston, that seems like it would be a good destination for Duckett.)

Deal done for Lelie... rollin' off "The REAL Feed":

Falcons trade Duckett to Redskins, get Lelie from Denver
SI.com: NFL (23.08.2006 01:10)

I think Lelie could step in sooner than later and be their go-to guy.  I think this is a good fit for him!

Falcons D slowly but surely looking more and more intriguing for '06... From "The REAL Feed":

Falcons add bulk, line up deal with DT Jackson
ESPN: NFL (23.08.2006 10:07)
The Falcons late Tuesday reached agreement in principle with unrestricted free agent defensive tackle Grady Jackson on a three-year contract.
