I have the 1st pick in a draft I have here at work and I keep going back and forth debating on who to take. Its the ole Johnson/Alexander/Tomlinson question.  Any thoughts??

Hmm... Keyshawn Johnson, Stephen Alexander, or LaDainian Tomlinson?

I'd go Tomlinson first!

Seriously... I like LT best because of his consistency. He'll run a lot and he'll be a great outlet receiver for a young, inexperienced QB.

LJ scares me a bit, especially with his OL falling apart.

Alexander is a stud, and you can't go wrong with him. But I have to admit, as ridiculous as it is, that the Madden curse has me a little bit spooked.

Thank you Philly and Steg!!  I am weary of LJ as well.  Herm Edwards never instilled confidence in me!!

I personally like Alexander....look for a repeat in last years yardage numbers and at least something close to his TD numbers. Face it ..it will be difficult to pull off back to back 28 TD seasons but I bet he'll be close!!

15 catches 78 yds. 5.2 avg 1 TD

For what it's worth... he instilled confidence in Curtis Martin, who had an amazing year a couple years ago under Edwards.  Herm likes to run the ball, a lot, so that's in LJ's favor. Only the deteriorating O-line has me concerned.

I like LJ but I agree with Philly, his O line is rapidly falling apart.

Well I'll be double-dipped in dog doo!!!! Though I still don't believe in the curse, I've gotta admit it is a bit spooky!! But I still think the odds that any player can get injured, esp. a RB, is pretty darn high even if there was no one who ever heard of the curse. This is the NFL..300 lb. bodies slam into 200 lb. bodies week-in and week-out, someone's gonna get hurt. Look at all the guys who get hurt that are not on Madden's cover...I guess the curse just got Simms too huh?

Had to break this one back out.    If Alexander wasn't enough to convince you, how about this!!!

Has everyone seen the new Madden commerical where Dallas Clark gets jacked up by 2 Eagles?    That commercial is out , what, 3 weeks....and WHAM!!!   Dallas Clark gets a knee injured....AGAINST THOSE SAME EAGLES!

From what I hear, he's out for the year.

Say what you want; I think the Curse of The Bambino needed a new home and moved in with The Madden Curse.   It's doubly strong now!

For what it's worth, Dallas Clark did all the "jacking up" against the Eagles in that game. I guess Clark just kept blowing up Matt McCoy so much that Clark's knee couldn't take it.
