Guys, all this talk about Deion Branch's having been seriously wooed by and likely going to Seattle as early as next week (I just caught Mort on ESPN),... what's up with that??? They have Jackson, who is healthy enough to play today... They just PAID Burleson BIG "spite" bucks... AND, they have a solid producer in Engram... What need do they have for another high-price wideout??? Can someone explain... Because, as it stands, it seems like a VERY unnecessary acquisition and, thus, money not well spent. All I can think of is that Holmgren is in love with the guy...

| Only logic I can find in it would be they don't feel DJax is healthy enough to last the year. I'm watching that game tho, and he looks fine to me.

Thanks for representing us, the GBRFL, ATO, DU, me as your college best bud, well, Danny. Class-act! This is not the GBRFL board, putz. This is one of "the Gridiron's" three MAIN boards. Pretend like you are out in public here, and not just the asshole we've all come to know and... deal with in the GBRFL. |
|
| | So, in any event, what do yous think Deion's fantasy value is? Is he even (eventually) going to start? What number receiver is he on the Seahawks? This all kind of relates to my question above about why they even want(ed) him to begin with. Is it as Ibd here so crudely suggests, that Holmgren has a boner for the guy? In that case, I guess he's "destined" to have good fantasy value, no??? Help me understand!!!

Well, here's "the deal"... according to "The REAL Feed": Branch signs $39 million, six-year deal with Seahawks SI.com: NFL (12.09.2006 20:06) Well, I don't know where their getting all this money/cap room... But, they're spending it all on their receiving corps, it seems. There had better be production!!! Otherwise, Branch should be beaten with a stick... ... ...

Tk305 is going to LOVE this... As it turns out,... according to "The REAL Feed": Alexander hopes to play vs. Bears this weekend ESPN: NFL (27.09.2006 16:15) The Tacoma News Tribune reported Wednesday that Shaun Alexander, who is crediting prayer with healing his fractured left foot, hopes to play against the Bears on Sunday. Talk about a LOT of media "jumping the gun" going on (this week)!!! What a bunch of snapperheads!!! I do not, however, think that Alexander will hit the field this week. I think the injury will heal faster than anticipated, and maybe he'll be back sooner than initially reported, like in perhaps two weeks,... but not this week against the Bears. That said, if he is ready, I hope he does.
