| Now come on guys. Don't treat my post like i'm hoisting Pope above Fitzgerald or Boldin!! That would be LUDICROUS!! In fact, to even think he will compete with those guys in receiving is LUDICROUS!! I was just stating an "official" fact. Whether anyone in the world already "figured" on it happening is irrelevant. I "figured" Clinton Portis would start week 1 but I would have to say that I "figured" wrong. I guess you would also think that had I mentioned something about Wali Lundy you would assume I was referring to him as a top tier back over L.J., L.T., and S.A. And another thing to think about is the fact that since ALL the coverage is going to be worrying about the trio of studs coming at them (james, fitz, boldin) Pope will be finding himself open more times then not. Warner knows how to spread the ball around to get his playmakers open. This isn't his 1st rodeo (or football game for that matter).

Wow! I can't believe the outpouring of love for old-man Warner. I, for one, am out. I've dropped him in JYJ's league. Bottom line, sometimes you've just got to see the writing on the wall. I've got nothing against the guy. He just doesn't have "it" anymore, and "it" doesn't just mean putting up lots of yardage, which we fantasy footballers love, but doesn't change the "reality" of the matter. If you are just rooting for him, that's one thing. I have no problem with a dude stickin' with his guy. But, if you are to any degree depending on him for fantasy purposes, you gotta learn when/how to see the writing on the wall and cut ties. That's my take.

Tak,... only thing,... I fear that Culpepper may not have "it" anymore, too, and with him "it", in short, means... Randy Moss (in the Dennis Green Minnesota Viking offense). |

Everybody had "it" against Tennessee too, though, no??? (By the way, the "off-topic" smiley, which is good to use when going off-topic like this, is the one all the way to the right in the row of displayed smilies.) |
