I am in a redraft league

D. Brees
D. Stallworth
Ma. Jones
D. Gabriel
W. Lundy
B. Watson
J. Walker
J. Kitna
D. Jackson
C. Taylor
D. McAllister
L. Maroney
Stephen Davis
D. Akers
New England

I just got a offer Chester Taylor, Darrell Jackson and Walli Lundy for Steven Jackson

I figure I lose chester but I just figure to go on with deuce and jackson starting and pick up on waiver wire like a corey bradford, samkon gado, a Brandon stokley, Ron Dayne, and a ladell betts and tj duckett as they all are still out there.

Should I go for it? or is whats out there is not enough to sustain me for what I would lose for just jackson.

Steven Jackson is going to easily outproduce Chester Taylor and Wali Lundy, but losing Darrell Jackson will really weaken an already-shaky WR corps.

I wouldn't do this trade, but I'd counter offer with Taylor+Lundy and Matt Jones instead. That would leave you with DJax, Javon Walker, and Donte Stallworth at WR and that's not a bad group to have.

Goatman, I've been down this road with MANY a (new and/or infrequent) poster...  PLEASE, in lieu of starting a BRAND-SPANKING-NEW thread EVERY TIME you have a trade question, just make ONE thread for yourself where you make your posts seeking trade advice.  Besides not littering the boards, this tack also accomplishes cohesion in the responses, i.e., you don't (necessarily) have to keep explaining your league, the situation, your roster, etc., etc., and the responses can be more focused and the discussion better facilitated.

In fact, I'll make this "transition" easy for you.  What I am going to do for you here is change the subject of this thread to "The Goat's Trade Help Thread".  All you have to do is just be patient enough to locate this thread (it may not always be right on page 1) and continue using it.  Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation!

As for this trade here, I'm basically in tune with what Philly suggests, but I'm going to leave it at that until I see that you are going to honor my request above, at which time I will recommence giving more detailed responses.

how many RBs do you have to start?  if you only have to start 2, with 1 flex, i really like Philly's suggestion.  If you have to field 3, doing that deal leaves you virtually no way to cover bye weeks, as none of the WW players (RBs) you listed would get you anything.

If you start 2 with 1 flex, I'd follow Philly's advice.   If you have to start 3 RBs, i think you'd be setting yourself to lose all 3 RB bye weeks.

good luck!
