Smith STILL not practicing... He missed practice again today... according to "The REAL Feed":
Hamstring keeps Panthers' Smith out of practice ESPN: NFL (15.09.2006 14:11) Steve Smith, the league's top receiver last season, missed practice again Friday with the Carolina Panthers because of a hamstring injury and is questionable for this weekend's game at Minnesota.
This is lookin' more and more to be the kind of hamstring injury that can ruin a season...
Just caught a tiny blurb at the end of an NFLN show stating Smith was on his way to see the bigwig doc in Atlanta. You know, the guy who does all the ligament consults/surgeries. If so, wouldn't sound good for Smith owners.
My curse lives on if he goes down!!!! 3rd season in a row I'd lose my 1st WR taken.

3 straight underperforming seasons, one nitwit head coach, 2 problem child WRs, 1 collosal trade bungle....but a wild boat party with booze and hookers!!!????? Priceless.
Smith gets some running in but is still not practicing with the team... From "The REAL Feed":
While Panthers practice, Smith runs on separate field ESPN: NFL (20.09.2006 18:09) Panthers All-Pro receiver Steve Smith did agility drills and some light running on a separate field while his teammates practiced Wednesday.
It's lookin' like Smith might really be close to ready... From "The REAL Feed":
Panthers receiver Smith practices, close to full speed ESPN: NFL (21.09.2006 19:19) Carolina Panthers receiver Steve Smith practiced Thursday for the first time in more than two weeks, increasing the chance he'll play Sunday against Tampa Bay.
One of the games I've got here is the Panthers-Saints game... Steve Smith just got his knee twisted around quite a bit. It looks like he'll return, but he's on the sidelines with a limp. I'll keep yous posted if need be...
