Running Back depth needed

Here are my running backs and their bye weeks

Jackson - StL (week 7)
Dunn - Atl (week 5)
Lewis - Bal (week 7)
Gado - Hou (week 5)

We start two running backs.  As you can see, I may have a bit of an issue in week 7 if I have to start Gado.

I realize that week 7 is a long way away.  I still need to keep this in mind when working the free agent pool.

Would I be better off picking up one of the following running backs

Derrick Blaylock NYJ/9
Correll Buckhalter Phi/9
Verron Haynes Pit/4
Mike Alstott TB/4
Michael Turner SD/3
Arlen Harris Det/8
Michael Bennett KC/3
Ladell Betts Was/8
Labrandon Toefield Jac/6
Chris Perry Cin/5
Michael Robinson SF/7
Michael Bennett KC/3

My other thought is to sit tight and either try to trade for a better backup running back or wait for a better free agent pick up.  What is your advice?

As for the FAs, Chris Perry is on IR, so he won't be playing. And Michael Robinson also has a week 7 bye, so take him off your list.

I'd probably try to work a trade (can you trade Gado to the guy with Ahman Green?) first, since none of the guys on the FA list right now look overly appealing.

If you can't work a trade, then keep an eye on Blaylock (he got 19 carries against Tennessee - although he averaged less then 2 ypc! against the Titans!). Michael Turner is a nice option in case LT gets hurt (which rarely happens),  but he gets some work anyway. Does anyone own Jerious Norwood?

Great points about the list I sent.  Thanks for the heads up.

Norwood is already been picked up.  I may have to go the trade route.  I think I can dangle Winslow to someone with a weak TE.

I will also keep my eye on the waiver wire.  Turner would be great if LT goes down.

I was hoping someone had a nugget of knowledge that would make the free agents listed more appealing than they are.

Thanks

Just at a glance of that list there, lumberman,...  GRAB BUCKHALTER NOW!!! I think he is going to put up numbers like this past week on a consistent basis (because he is a great contrast and complement to Westbrook), and if Westbrook, who has a rich history of injuries, were to go down,... POW!!!  We finally get to see the season we were expecting from Correll 3, 4, however many years ago.  If need be, I would drop Gado for him.  I like Gado, but let's face it...  He did come out of NOWHERE last year; he did have a pretty bad preseason and terrible Week One, and he, from what I gather, wasn't really focused on football this past offseason.  I think the trade to the Texans was more of an "indictment" by the Packers than a "welcome" by the Texans.  In fact, the Texans moving Morency was more of an "indictment" too (although I think Morency is more of a welcome to the Packers as he is more Ahman Green-like).  Dayne is Kube's guy.  He's just not 100% yet, and I think Kubiak is trying to buy him time (before the peanut gallery gets restless).  As it stands right now, all Gado is is a nice contrast and complement to Lundy... on a worse team than Philadelphia,... and Dayne looms.

I DIGRESS...
Also, lumberman, you know the drill around here.  We try to keep thread proliferation at a minimum.  I'd REALLY appreciate it if you (renamed this thread if need be and) recycled it as your general "lineup help" thread.  Thank you for your anticipated understanding and cooperation!

..yes on buckhalter - and i absolutely agree w/ the take a chance on turner course - look at last year w/ priest/johnson - i know you can't count on an injury (NOR SHOULD YOU) - but if you have roster room, you'll rake in if it happens - plus they (sd) seem to tend toward resting LT when  they can (and they can often) - so at worst he's a good 3 or off week fill-in...(i think),
