Jamo, good report overall.  I was wondering...  How do you justify ranking Benson a low #3 RB this week?  After last week's no-show, how confident are you that he will receive any carries this week?

I also don't quite consider Alexander as being in the same category as Kobe is with the Lakers and how L.T. is for the Chargers this year.  He has hardly had the type of production in the games he has played this year that you would expect from the likes of Kobe and L.T. yet the Seahawks are still 3-0.  I agree that it has a big effect on the team and how they will perform but they also have the capability to overcome a poor , below average, or even a no performance from Alexander whereas the other mentioned teams more then likely can't.

The point I was trying to make was that Seattle is losing its best player, and will be facing an uphill battle on the road in Chicago. The Seahawks barely escaped at Detroit... Won at home vs. Arizona, a game in which Alexander put up a respectable 89 yards on the ground with a TD... and got a "gimme" on the road in New York... hardly convincing efforts in my book. I'll agree that Alexander was not off to a good start as far as the "#1 overall pick" and fantasy stats, but he can affect the game in so many ways, even when he's not putting up monster numbers.  Don't think for a second that Seattle's passing attack doesn't benefit from the fact that Alexander is in their backfield. Will Maurice Morris have the same effect? I doubt it. We'll see on Sunday night though...

Steg, in case you or others are not clear on my ranking system, I'll break it down for ya'll. It's really very simple. Based on your typical 10-12 team leagues... If you start only 1 player per position, only play the "1st Ranked" players. If you start two per position, consider starting both the 1st and 2nd ranked players. And of course, if you start 3, consider the 1st, 2nd, and you guessed it, 3rd Ranked players. If I rank someone a 4... bench 'em. (Unless for some crazy reason you start 4 at that position, then you might consider them. ) Like I said, pretty simple, but if you confuse it with the way you rank players in depth on StegsList.com, you might get a little mixed up.

As far as my Low #3 ranking for Benson... I haven't heard anything to suggest that he will ride the pine again this week. Lovie Smith had this to say, "There is some inaccurate information coming out about whether we're disappointed in him, the reasons why he didn't play this past week. Cedric Benson practiced very well last week, is doing everything we've asked him to do right now and he's a big part of what we're going to do around here. I couldn't be more pleased with how he's handling being behind a good player in Thomas Jones. Hopefully, this week we'll get him some more playing time." Not exactly "great"  news by any means, but not the kiss of death either. I think he'll get some chances similar to the 10 & 11 carries he got in the first 2 weeks. After all, it's not like Jones lit it up with Benson on the bench last week.

Disclaimer: This message was an attempt at humor, by no means was this an attack on Walker Boh or this thread (which is not Walker's thread, yet the thread of the Zen Master who can do with it what he pleases). Please don't take this post as a verbal assault on Walker Boh or his fantasy football knowledge, the fact of the matter is I believe the man does a wonderful job and his Bears updates are pretty accurate (with one exception). I was just trying to be funny with that post and due to my recent history I believe a disclaimer was necessary to let the world know that we all love the Gridiron and would never try to turn it into a place where harsh trash talk is considered the norm.
