hey gang, whats up? need some help with week 3. League #1 OBFFL (2-0) scoring: longer TD's = more pts, bonus pts for # of rushes & recepts, pts for rush, rec & pass yardage, longer FG = more pts, def pts for sacks, int's, safetys, fum rec & pts allowed. My team: QB: McNabb, Johnson [start 1] RB: Rudi, Fred Taylor, Kevin Jones, White, Dayne [start 2] WR: Fitzgerald, R Moss, Coles, Branch, Givens, Lloyd [start 3] K: Longwell Ind Def: Umenyiora DEF: INDY Head Coach: Andy Reid A. Which 2 RB's would you start? thinking of staying with Fred & Rudi. both have tough matchups but have looked very good and KJ hasnt. 1. Rudi @ PIT 2. Fred @ INDY 3. KJ vs GB B. Would you pick up Buffalo def vs. Jets at home this week instead of Indy vs JAX? (i dont have to drop Indy) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ League #6 GFFL (1-1) all TD's = 6 pts, only get bonus pts for rush OR rec over 100 yds (not combined), over 300 yds pass. thats it. My team: QB: Bledsoe, Favre, Johnson [start 1] RB: Alexander, Cadillac, Chester Taylor, M Bell [start 2] WR: Holt, A Johnson, Evans [start 2] K: Josh Brown, Longwell [start 1] DEF: BAL, JAX [start 1] A. Which QB would you start? thinking Favre. 1. Favre @ DET or 2. Johnson vs CHI B. Which RB to go with Alexander? leaning towards Chester. Cadillac back issues and TB offense has been horrible. 1. Cadillac vs CAR 2. Chester Taylor vs CHI thanks for the advice.

League 1 - A) You've got three solid options there. I would stick with Rudi, BUT I would roll my dice on Kevin Jones this week. The Packers stink. It's just a hunch. League 1 - B) Yes! League 2 - A) Don't like either of your QB options there, bro. I have Favre ranked higher than Johnson this week, though, over at StegsList.com. League 2 - B) Another "lesser of two evils" call... My rankings are in agreement with you by a hair. I wouldn't expect much from either, though.

| I'd lean towards KJ too. I don't love him, but WAS is just too tough a defense and Mo Drew will steal some carries from Fragile Fred. Quote:B. | Coles didn't practice last week and still had a decent game. If he's playing, use him with Fitz. I'd also go with Moss -- he's overdue and Cleveland might just accomodate him. | Since you don't get penalized for FLs and INTs, go with Favre. He'll be throwing a lot against a weakened secondary while playing catch-up.

Gotta be FAST... League 1A - Taylor. League 1B - Go with L.J. Indy's pass D is tough. League 2 - I'd roll my dice on Moss, and go with Bledsoe at QB. ... kec, remember, bro, I am now living in Hawaii. If you want my take, you need to get your help posts up earlier... as in Saturday night, bro. Good luck!

ok gang, a few tough choices this week again, need some of your expert advice. a liitle long but hopefully i posted early enough so you could read thru it all. here we go.... League #6 GFFL (3-1), 6 pts for TD's, bonus pts for 100+ yds rec or rush (not combined), 300+ yds pass. QB: Bledsoe, Favre [start 1] RB: Alexander, Cadillac, Chester Taylor, K Jones, M Bell, Morris [start 2] WR: Holt, A Johnson, Evans, Reggie Williams [start 2] K: Josh Brown, Longwell [start 1] DEF: BAL, JAX [start 1] 1. Which 2 RB's? leaning towards Taylor & KJ even though they play each other. NO Def has been tough plus TB has rookie QB. Cadillac @ NO KJ @ MIN C Taylor vs DET 2. Which WR to go with stud Holt? leaning to Williams. Evans @ CHI Williams vs NYJ 3. Which DEF? leaning to stay with BAL BAL @ DEN JAX vs NYJ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ League #5 (Suckered ino this one after the draft when someone dropped out of my bro's league - draft wasnt too bad except for bye weeks and that he drafted 3 Bengals but i have made some changes) (2-2) scoring: rush/rec TD = 6pts, pass td = 4 pts, 10 yds rush=1 pt, 20 yds rec = 1 pt (bonuses for 100 yds rec/rush or 300 pass). QB: Palmer, Delhomme [start 1] RB: Rudi Johnson, McGahee, Dunn, Barlow, Morris [start 2] WR: S Moss, Reg Williams, A Bryant, Jenkins, TJ Housh [start 3] TE: Clark, Crumpler [start 1] K: Kaeding DEF: SEA no choice but to start Barlow @ JAX and McGahee @ CHI, both very bad matchups. only betts, barber, Deangelo Williams, Robinson & Morency avail on WW. 1. think any of these guys would actually do better than my 2 starters this week? no choice but to start S Moss @ WAS, Bryant vs OAK & Reggie Williams vs NYJ. I Bruce @ GB only viable WR left on WW. 2. think he would look better than one of my starters? 3. Which DEF to pick up this week? SEA on bye. leaning to NE but the others could be nice sleepers. KC @ ARI NO vs TB NE vs MIA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ League #4 (3-5, play 2 games each wk) scoring: all TD's = 6 pts, 10 yds rec or rush = 1 pt, 25 yds pass = 1 pt, fum lost & int's (-2). QB: Grossman, Plummer [start 1] RB: KJ, Jordan, Rudi, Morris, Buckhalter [start 2/3] WR: R Moss, Rod Smith, Jennings, Horn [start 2/3] K: Wilkins [start 1] DEF: INDY [start 1] 1. Which QB? leaning to Grossman vs BUF. avail on WW - A Smith vs OAK, Brad Johnson vs DET. 2. Which 3 WR's? leaning to Moss, Jennings, Horn. R Moss @ SF Jennings vs STL Horn @ TB Smith vs BAL no choice but to start KJ & Jordan at RB. so i need 3 WR's this week. also avail on WW - Morency (if he starts), Drew, Betts. but if Morency starts for GB would u pick him up instead of one of the WR's? and who would u take out? what about Drew, think he would get the ball enough to start over one of those WR's? this was a long one but thanks for any input you give. Go Eagles!

League #6: (1) I'd probably play the matchups and go with Caddy @ NO (Saints are 19th against the rush so far). I'd also go with Taylor v DET. Detroit is a bad team and might be forced to play catch up through the air. (2) I'd go with Williams. The Bears haven't given up a TD catch this season, and Buffalo isn't a great offensive team, so I'd sit Evans despite his recent success. (3) I think that JAX has the better matchup, but I too would stay with BAL. They should force Plummer to throw some more INTs and are playing some fantastic football right now. League #5: (1) I'll assume that the Barber on WW is Marion and not Tiki. Anyway, the only one I might consider over McGahee/Barlow would be Morency, but only if Ahman Green is definitely out. If you can wait until the last minute, I'd grab Morency, and start him over McGahee. (2) Isaac Bruce is having a good season so far (12th in NFL in rec yds). I'd have him on my roster ahead of Jenkins already. GRAB HIM NOW! And I'd start him in a heartbeat this week. The GB secondary is in disarray (they cut Batman Carroll this week for getting toasted so often). I'd go Moss, Bryant, and Bruce. (3) Chiefs should do well this week with Leinart getting his first start. They're good enough to force mistakes and ARI has a terrible O-line. League #4: (1) Grossman should be OK, although BUF defense has done well. I like Brad Johnson this week, but who would you dump to get him? Buckhalter? (2) Moss, Jennings, and Horn look to be the best options. (3) I'd stick with the 3 WRs and 2 RBs this week and let Morency, etc. stay on the WW. But, if you're set on Morency (Drew doesn't get enough touches), then use him ahead of Horn. Go Eagles! (You don't happen to have an extra ticket to the game, do you? It's going to be one wild scene in South Philly -- especially with the 4:15 start!)

I'm going to cop out a bit here and just kibitz off Philly's remarks: League 6: I agree with everything Philly said here. I'd go with Caddy, Williams and BAL. League 5: Again, much of what Philly said is right on for me. I really like Bruce this week too. And if Green sits, start Morency in a heartbeat. As for the D, I like NO more than KC this week. Leinart has pocket awareness and should fair better than a normal rookie would (though not much with that OLine). TBs OLine sucks and the rookie QB is not as polished as Leinart, so I'd go with NO. They'll give up some ground yards but I like their chance at turnovers a bit more. League 4: Keep an eye on Westbrook's status. I'm hearing his knee is still swelling and he may be a GTD (though you guys...or is it yous guys when talking about Philadelphia ... may be more plugged in than I). If so, I'd start Buckhalter over KJ. He'll split time with Moats, but should see the majority of carries again. I think KJ is a 50 yards/no TDs waiting to happen this week, and will disappoint. Other than that, I agree with Philly, keep the 3 WRs over Morency. Good luck!

League #6 1. I'd go with Caddy and Taylor. Minnesota is p.o.-ed and Jones hasn't been good all year. 2. Yea, gotta play matchup there. Go with Williams over Evans. 3. I'd actually go with the Jags against New York. I think reality is about to set in for the Jets after their nip-and-tuck loss to the Colts. Denver's O, on the other hand, is just hitting stride. Not that that game, too, won't be low-scoring. You really have two great choices here. League #5 1. Boy, that's a rough call. I would try to grab Morency, just in general. It's going to be a game-time decision with Green, though, this week. If Green is a no go, I'd go with Morency and McGahee. As things stand, leave your lineup alone, BUT go pick up Morency. 2. Close call, probably six of one, half dozen of the other. I'd have Bruce on my team, though, over Jenkins. 3. I'd go with KC. NE would be my second choice. But, I'd roll my dice on a HOT KC defense going up against a rook QB, and a WEAK O-line. League #4 1. I'd stick it out with Grossman, but I think all three of the QB's you mentioned are good bets this week. 2. Again, similar to my commentary above, if Morency starts, I'd play him over Horn. I'd grab him, in any event. Otherwise, I too would go with the three you chose.

Well, you gotta start L.J. with Mcnabb. I've always loved the double whammy WR/QB tandem on my team. Anyway for your other two starters, I hate to say it, but you gotta start Randy. I am also an owner of Randy, and I hate to leave him in the lineup some weeks, but if there is a week to at least feel good about it, this is the week. The Niners secondary sucks, and you just have to hope Randy can exploit that. Secondly, you gotta start Fitz. We have no idea what Leinart is going to do. He could throw for 400 yds and Boldin and Fitz get 2 TD's a piece. Who knows. The point is, these guys are your studs. Unless they are NOT playing you just have to start them. Unless Randy puts up a goose egg, then you can trade his ass. Good luck!! O4L

League #1 1. I would actually roll with Branch this week. He is an intriguing play with Engram sidelined. 2. I would say in the order you list them. 3. Miami and then Detroit. If you have to go with Tampa Bay, your in deep trouble. I don't think St. Louis is a good play, either. League #3 1. I would, FOR SURE, drop Robinson for Washington, but I think that's it. Right now, with Westbrook's lingering knee issues, it's a dicey move to let go of Buckhalter. If you really want Turner, drop Norwood or Buckhalter for him (and cross your fingers that you've "chosen the right door"). League #5 1. I would go with McGahee or Dunn, probably in that order. I'm not too keen on Morris until he shows me something as a starter.

League #1 1. I'd go with (who I think are) your studs, Rudi and Taylor. 2. I lean the same way you do. 3. " ". League #2 1. I'd go Green, of course, IF he plays (he's listed as probable right now), and, yes, Jordan at RB. Then, I'd go with Moss, Coles and Wayne. League #4 1. Stick it out with Plummer. 2. I'd go with Indy. League #5 1. Yea, I'd go with Rudi and McGahee, too, but I think Dunn may surprise this week. 2. I'd go with the "absolutely bona fide" stud, who is due to boot, Palmer. League #6 1. I don't know... I think I'd go with old-man Favre. (By the way, your t-shirt was shipped today! Be on the lookout!!!)

| 1. This is a tough one, because PIT, CAR, and NE are all equally good against the run. I'm not sold on Morris as a guy to hang your hat on, so I'll say go with Rudi Johnson and Warrick Dunn. They've got the better O-lines of the studs. 2. Wow... tough choice. I'll lean to Delhomme only because he's got Steve Smith going strong and the Bengals are still struggling to get their offense righted. | If you only get points for 300+ yard performances, I think you've got to go with (gasp) Favre of that bunch. He throws it more than the rest of them and his big concern is INTs, which I think you don't have to worry about. [/quote]

League #1 OBFFL (5-2) Distance Scoring 1. Which DEF? Please Rank. -NO, IND, MIN, DEN (stay away from GB/ARI) 2.Which 3 WR's? not much choice but figured go w/ Coles, Branch & either Moss or LJ. but if Givens is healthy has a good matchup??? -Coles, Branch, Moss (LJ Smith will be facing a good defense and high winds) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ League #2 Buck Espn (3-4) 1. Which 5 to start? need 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex. leaning to Henry, Green, Jackson, AJ, Coles RB - Jackson, Henry WR-Johnson, Coles Flex-Green (if healthy, otherwise Wayne) 2. Which DEF? i only own MIN so i wold have to WW for the others. I like Saints (rested) against a weak Baltimore offense best. Then I like MIN. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ League #5 98ers (2-5) 1.Need 2 RB's. Who Sits? Sit Rudi. He's a little banged up and ATL has a nice front seven. 2.Need 3 WR's. Who Sits? Sit Bryant. Not much offensive production against Chicago this year. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ League #6 Goose CBS (4-3) 1.Which QB to start? I'd actually go with Leinart. He has more weapons and GB has been horrendous against the pass. I think both could do well though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hey Philly, thanks for the input. i picked up Crumpler off WW in League #1 tonite. so, if you change your thoughts on the 3 starting WR's/TE's in league #1 send me a post. i already modified my original post to include Crumpler for those reading for the first time. lost out on Lundy & Furrey (looking ahead) cause i was last on WW this week again. sucks, when you win and score alot of points you'll never have a shot at any good WW pickups cause your always at the bottom and those players are gone before it gets to you. anyway, i've got an add on ? to week 8 help. anybody play in a league with individual defensive players? i have osi umenyiora who is hurt (possibly bad) but unknown yet. i could put him on inj reserve ($10-$20 depending on how long) or drop him outright and pick up another player. hopefully someone past their bye week so i dont have to make another move at this position again. League #1 individual defensive player scoring - sacks, int's, safety = 5 pts, 3 tackles = 1 pt, forced fum = 3 pts, rec fum = 3 pts, TD 1-50 yds = 12 pts, TD 51+ yds = 15 pts available DE/DT possibilities: Kampman (GB) Hali (KC) Dumervil (DEN) Alex Brown (CHI) Walker (PHI) Berry (ARI) has been hot but bye wk 9 Schobel (BUF) also been hot but on bye wk 8 could also go CB, S, LB but just hoping for int's back there. obviously TD's would be ideal but who can predict defensive TD's? thoughts on this one?
