It's a quarterback frenzy in Tampa... according to "The REAL Feed":

Bucs trade for Plummer, sign Garcia in QB splurge

This is unbelievable...  From "The REAL Feed":

PLUMMER CHOOSES RETIREMENT
Sporting Life: NFL (04.03.2007 16:46)
Jake Plummer has shunned a trade to the Tampa Bay by announcing his retirement.

I wonder what this means for the trade...  It's got to be nullified, right?  My gut tells me that if they can get something worked out that sends him to Houston, he'd quickly unretire...

Sounds like the Bucs might want the Raiders' number one pick:

Tampa Bay talking trade for Johnson?

Yahoo Sports, 4-16-07

"Al talked to me about what he wants to do, but I'm not sharing that with you," Allen said with a smile. There was speculation that the Bucs had already offered Oakland all four of their picks in the first three rounds (Nos. 4, 35, 64 and 68 overall) to move up.

How about this deal (or, should it be said, no deal) with Plummer?  Brought to you courtesy of "the Gridiron Newsstand":

"Still no Plummer in Tampa"

I actually think we'll see Plummer quarterbacking the Bucs someday, like next season after Garcia has a lackluster season and Simms continues to... That said, I don't see any scenario which inspires me to protect my boy in the deeeeep-keeper GBRFL this year, and I have a piss-poor team.

Not the latest-breaking news, but just for the record...  From "The REAL Feed":

Garcia frontrunner to be Bucs starter
SI.com: NFL (19.06.2007 21:31)

It's a development worth making noting of...

It looks like it's going to be good-bye to a good guy, who unfortunately never really lived up to his expectations on the fantasy gridiron...  From "The REAL Feed":

A reality I think Simms is going to have to adjust himself to in Tampa...  From "The REAL Feed":

Bucs' Simms finding playing time hard to come by
ESPN: NFL (11.08.2007 12:25)
While Luke McCown and Bruce Gradkowski were on the field competing for Tampa Bay's backup quarterback job, Chris Simms remained on the sideline.

Kind of hard to be a QB in the NFL when you have a condition that prevents you from knowing fully where your arms and legs are at any time...

The Red Sox aren't the only thing "Boston" on the comeback trail...  From "The REAL Feed":

Bucs' Boston making most of chance to revive career
Miami Herald: Sports (21.08.2007 17:25)
After sitting out most of the past three seasons because of injuries, Tampa Bay's David Boston is making the most of his latest bid to revive a once-promising NFL career.

This is incredible news.  I heard that he has already passed Clayton on the depth chart.  ESPN mentioned he caught his first TD (although preseason) since 2003.

Simms on his way out...??? From "The REAL Feed":

Injured Simms sits, time with Bucs over? (AP)
Yahoo! News: Democratic Party (31.08.2007 02:25)
Chris Simms hopes he hasn't played his last game for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The fifth-year pro spent Thursday night walking the sideline with a hip strain, leaving Luke McCown and Bruce Gradkowski to state their final cases for being the team's backup quarterbacks in a 31-24 preseason-ending ...
