In terms of the system, of their backs, I think it benefits Shelton the most. Don't get me wrong! He's not gonna get a chance to really be in the mix, no less become the starter. But, an injury here and an injury there, which we at least know Foster is susceptible to and mighty mouse could be too, watch out. He may finally be put in a "position" to live up to his rookie hype.

| Wow! That's a name I didn't expect. He's the one guy who I think the system does NOT benefit. If you remember Shelton at Louisville (he clearly doesn't have enough NFL game film to judge him by), he was a straight-ahead runner. He took the ball and had to hope the hole was open... if not, he was going to try to make his own hole by running over or through defenders. He's NOT a cutback runner by any means and is the epitome of the proverbial "north-south" power runner. Every scouting report that I've read of the guy indicates that his field vision is lacking too, and that skill is paramount in this type of offense. I'd be interested to know why you think Shelton is the guy that is best suited for this offense now. You didn't offer much justification for you statement there, so I'm hoping you'll enlighten me.

| That's exactly right. That's why I wouldn't count on either of them in a redraft league. If Williams fell to a point where I could grab him as a third back without sacrificing other positions in my lineup, I might do it. But to look to either of them as anything higher is risky business!

| Just a feeling, really... As you know, I don't know much about the college side of things, at least in terms of individual players, an area in which you are very astute. So, a lot of that I didn't even know. On the other hand, it must be admitted that that's fairly old info at this point. I just think that if a BIG back, who's been struggling to get his career untracked, but still has latent talent, finds himself in a one-cut system that he is either familiar with or can learn to run in, he's got a way to revive his career. That may be a naive notion, but, for whatever it's worth, that's where I am coming from.
