Am I crazy or is this too good to be true?

Here is my roster QB - Romo RB - Jackson, Henry, Green, Washington, Taylor, S. Young, Betts WR - Branch, Harrison, Fitzgerald TE - Winslow K - Folk DST - Chiefs I was offered Gore, Berrian and Curtis for Fitzgerald, Washington and Betts. Am I insane or is this a great deal? Fitzgerald is really good, but Gore, even with Dilfer at QB, is a much better overall value, right? Part 2 of this question is if I do this trade should I dump Branch and pick up Campbell to be my #2 QB? By the way, we start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DST - standard scoring with no points for receptions.

wow....i think you better pull this trigger...FAST! Losing Fitz is tough, but that's obviously the jewel your trader wants. You seriously need RB help. Green & Jackson are hurt, Washington, Betts & Taylor aren't starters, Henry is going out and who knows on Selvin Young. At least Gore would give you a standard every week starter, something you'd have 2 of when SJax get back. Berrian is servicable in a non-PPR league. Getting Curtis in the deal is a steal! It basically comes down to how good you think Young will be, and the platoon of SJax and Taylor/Betts/Young when SJax gets back. If you think that'll be just as good as SJax & Gore, then keep Fitz. But I tend to think Gore will consistently outproduce that group, and warrants the trade. Go for it!

My only reservation is that the 49ers are only averaging about 203 yards of total offense per game. This said, I have a feeling that San Fran will be able to improve at least a bit. On the positive side of this trade is that Boldin is coming back soon for the Cardinals. Once he is back, Fitzgerald will not get as many passes thrown his way. In San Fransisco Alex Smith may only sit out one or two more games. This is conjecture on my part, but he is improving a lot it seems.
