Scoring Only league.

Quarterbacks
TD pass is worth 4pnts
TD run is worth 6pnts
2pnt cnv pass is worth 1pnts
2pnt conv run is 2pnts

My choice of starters this week are tough. These are all close games, so leaving points on the bench is disasterous. I have won 5 in a row to get back into te playoff picture with 3 games to go. Heres the big choice and Im looking for some Gridiron Magic.

Causion
I DIGRESS...
Do not think of this as a yardage league. Yardage does nothing for the scoring. THEY MUST THROW OR RUN FOR TD'S. WHEN CINCY PLAYED BALTIMORE IN WEEK 10, PALMER THREW FOR OVER 300 YARDS, HE HAD ZERO TD'S. THEREFORE ZERO POINTS FOR THE WEEK

Start one of these two dudes:

Matt Schaub - Houston at Cleveland
        OR
Drew Brees -  New Orleans at Carolina

Please and thank you

Matt Schaub....last week he threw for 293 yards and two TD's. He has another good match-up this week against the Browns and their weak pass D.  He's good for at least 2, maybe 3 touchdowns. He is also mobile enough to run one in if he needs to. I think Carolina is a bit tougher on pass D and Brees seems a little sporadic this year. I think with Matt you know you'll get 2 TD's, with Drew I'm not sure. Anyway that's my

My coin came up heads, and I had assigned heads to Schaub.  Good luck!

I agreed with both of you. Matt Shaub was the best option. Fortunatly for me I had already put in my line up with Brees as the starter and I was to lazy to change it.

Lets here it for lazy. Hip, Hip! Hip Hip!

TD Only league.

RB's/WR's
TD run is worth 6pnts
TD rect 6pnts

SIMI FINALS

Only healthy QB is Brees (Im good there)

I can start 2 RB's and 2 REC
      OR
1 RB and 3 REC's

My Kicker is Jeff Reed

RB's =
Steven Jackson VS Pitt
Larry Maroney VS Miami
Kevin Jones VS KC
Selvin Young @ SD

WR's =
Andre Johnson @ Indy
Joey Galloway @ SF
Torry Holt VS Pitt
Deion Branch VS Balt
Heath Miller @ SL

Normally I would start Jackson, Johnson, Galloway and Holt. If I did that this week, thats three players of my six playing Thursday Nite. (Jackson,Holt,Reed)If The Steelers "D" up and score TD's instead of Field Goals,I'd be beat before my opponent launches a player. I'm also dealing with that "Starting players that plays against your favorite team" bad karma thing. (Jackson and Holt)

So, what do I do here Do I start one back and 3 WR's? Is that one back Maroney? Is It Jackson? Do I start them both?  Do I start both Holt and Jackson? If I could only crystal ball that Thursday Night game

Remember, Forget about the yardage....They must score to help me.....

Someone Please?

ouch!   Dude, this is a tough one.   Karma aside, I still don't think I'd start SJax though.  Granted, Fred Taylor just lit up the Steelers....in PIT!   But I think they had gameplanned to stop Taylor and Jones-Drew...and Garrard proved he could beat them.

I don't think you can bench Holt, and I certainly wouldn't start 2 against PIT, so I'd sit SJax.

I'd go Maroney, Holt, Johnson...and BRANCH.  I'd sit Galloway for Branch.  AFAIK, Baltimore is still very banged up inthe secondary, and will be mailing it in IMO.   I like Branch at home.

Good Luck!

This is probably already moot,... but I would have went with Maroney (over Jackson) and your other three usuals.

It is moot, but thats exactly what I did. It makes me feel better after watching Jackson score, then having a buddy of mine tell me that I was an idiot because Brady and Moss are still several TD's away from breaking Mannings and Rices records. According to garp - Maroney wont see the ball anywhere near the end zone.

We've been talking about the NE weather all week.  It's getting worse by the hour, so I think "garp" is being a bit overly-optimistic to think Brady and Moss can go off today.  They may hookup for 1, but Maroney should see a lot of action.

one thing I cant control is my opponent. His team went OFF! I think he put up a 40 spot. Thats when I stopped counting anyway.

I too was thumped.   118-54 and still counting.

Parker, Brees, Holt, Welker, LWhite, Gonzales, Driver, RWhite....ZERO TOUCHDOWNS!

Plus TB allowed 21 to SF...a complete meltdown by my entire team.

AND!, I'm sure the words TAVARIS and Jackson are banned for a couple of days at Robs house. But beleive me the day could be worse. Check this out.

My best friend is a huge Vikes fan. His fantasy team was also eliminated and he was already bumming about that. His 18 year old son, like dad wears the purple . Here is where this gets worse. Mom and dad decide to buy their son a trip to Minny, along with tickets and hotel to the Sunday night Minny / Washington game. Its the boys Christmas present. They(Mom and son, cause dad is scared  to fly) were supposed to leave Indy at 12:30 pm and arrive in Minny at 2opm. They were gonna go hang out at the Mall of America then shuttle their ass over to the game. Well, for some reason the day before, the 12:30 flight is cancelled. Probably due to the fact that nobody has enough warm clothes to want to go into the frozen tundra of Minnesota.  Or better stated, Lack of interest .
So they are bumped to the next flight which was scheduled to leave at 3:30Pm and scheduled to arrive at 5:30Pm. But.......A little midwestern snow shower delays the flight 2 hrs. They arrive a little early in Minny. About 7:15Pm. They missed the shuttle to the stadium and grab a cab. Snow in Minny makes the cab ride slow going. They arrive at the game right at kickoff.

Airfare for two round trip over the holidays   500.00
tickets to the Vikes / Skins         150.00
overnight hotel accomadations       100.00
Misc food, souvenirs and other travel exp 200.00

If I were a betting man... and I'm not...

1. GB giving the points.
2. GB/NYG over.
3. SD getting the points.
4. NE/SD over.
