I'm surprised not to see any of the following teams on your list, Double-D: Denver, Buffalo, Arizona, Tampa Bay, Cincinnati, Detroit, Kansas City, Seattle (maybe), Philadelphia (maybe), Dallas (maybe), Cleveland (maybe), Tennessee (maybe), and St. Louis (maybe). I surely see them as being, at least, in the market, at least, sometime here this offseason or early in the season. Maybe I am way off... But, I actually see quite a wide-open market this year compared to last, especially if some guys don't pan out as expected and/or some of these injury rumors floating about turn out to be true. That said, the Jets and Houston are two teams I wouldn't even have on my list. Although, Alexander to the Jets does somehow seem to sound right.

| Many of those teams I thought about, but I had to choose one. Detroit and Chicago and Buffalo are three teams I considered and would not be surprised if any of them landed there. However, I believe Detroit is determined to go with Kevin Smith and the rest of their corp. Buffalo- They probably wait out the Lynch situation which should clear up soon. If he goes in the poke or gets suspened, look for the Bills to go after one of those guys. Bears- This team is a debacle. I guess they wait to see what they have in Forte. They also have Peterson and Garrett Wolfe showed some flashes last year. The other player to keep an eye on is Kevin Jones. He may emerge in Buffalo or Chicago.

| Shaun Alexander - Green Bay, Minnesota (if AP gets hurt), Cincy, New England. Travis Henry - Baltimore, Buffalo, Cincy, Cleveland Cedric Benson - Miami Kevin Jones - Chicago, New Orleans, Houston, Miami, New England, San Diego Ron Dayne - Canada? LaMont Jordan - It would be inappropriate for me to comment on Jordan since he's still under contract, but... maybe Seattle (if Duckett doesn't work out) or San Diego? I think that Kevin Jones is the most attractive of the FA RBs on the list. There will be some other cuts this summer that might throw a wrench in the works. For example, Tennessee has LenDale White and now Chris Johnson has evidently unseated last year's 2nd rounder in Chris Henry. They also have a big back in Quinton Ganther who could generate interest if he's released. I think teams will have to be very desperate (or teams that can afford to take a risk on a risky player) to sign either Benson or Henry. I don't think there will be any interest in Dayne at this point.

I am hopeful that one day I will go into a Titty bar restroom and Najah Davenport will be the dude handing me a towel. I will have just taken a crap and handed the towel back to Naj. He will then learn what the phrase means..." What goes around comes around" Is it not lost on anyone that all the guys listed have somehow made themselves a menece in one way or anouther? All of them. Im not feeling real warm and fuzzy about any of them. I hope they all go nowhere!

| It's lost on me... I mean... I think you are right, excepting Alexander and Dayne. Those guys have seemed to always be pretty good guys. In any event, though, I think there are guys on teams that are or have been worse, which doesn't belie your observations but does throw a bone in the rationale of your position.

| Agreed but: The DB formally known as "Pacman" is in a position to help a team be better. So adding a cancerous asshole comes with a positive in that sense. (see Terrell Owens) The list of guys we are talking about here have dudes that either are at the end of thier careers or are a PR risk . I think Dayne falls into a different category. He's a guy that is still, after all these years, a good guy still waiting to have that break out year. He is just not going to put fans in seats. Everyone knows that Alexander 3 years ago was fantastic running behind a great O-line. After the Hawks lost a few linemen and suffered a couple of injuries Alexanders numbers really tailed off. Last year he looked slow and easy to tackle. It may take a training camp injury to get him a job unless he will play for pennies.

| LaMont Jordan, while not yet part of this homeless group, certainly hasn't done anything to sully himself during his time in the league. I'm also having trouble remembering anything negative about Kevin Jones. Neither of these guys are over the hill and neither is a PR risk. Shaun Alexander (a "good guy") is also a guy whose motivation to perform has been questioned by many. Once he signed the big contract, his performance fell. While some of the blame can certainly go to a shaky offensive line and an unsettled WR sitch, Alexander appears to be culpable as well.
