I don't think Belichick expects Brady to be ready... now,... or, at least, NFL.com already doesn't... "Brady's season over after injuring knee vs. Chiefs" Official word is yet to come,... but, let's face it, it doesn't look good...

No official news yet on the injury that caused LaMont Jordan to leave the game. But, I am watching that game and I saw it. It's bad. It could, I would surmise, be a season-ender or even a career-threatener given his age and the position he plays. He wasn't even touched. His right foot just appeared to collapse at the Achilles. It looked bad. He did limp off "on" it, but, as I recall, others in the immediacy of an Achilles injury have as well. The only hope is that it was a calf cramp, I suppose, but I don't think that's the case... I might have just witnessed the last rush of a player whose career had such high hopes at one time but never got off the ground. Put philosophically-ish, the form of a great runner never met the matter of the right fit team-wise.

Pats look to be VERY low on backs to run the rock... From "The REAL Feed": 3 Patriots RBs expected to miss Sunday's game SI.com: NFL (24.10.2008 16:52) And, also, now, Brady's missing the '09 season is becoming a topic of discussion... Pats coordinator confident Brady will return in '09 ESPN: NFL (24.10.2008 18:58) Tom Brady's offensive coordinator has spoken to the injured quarterback and is optimistic he will work diligently to be back on the field in 2009.
