Detroit quarterback Jon Kitna will be evaluated during the week after suffering a sprained knee.

It's official... according to this LOCAL source on "the Gridiron Newsstand"...

"Jon Kitna out for Sunday's game"

So, let's get on with...

"Charting today's starter: Dan Orlovsky"

Kitna's season done...  Currently atop "The REAL Feed":

KITNA OUT FOR SEASON - REPORT
Sporting Life: NFL (14.10.2008 14:28)
Detroit Lions quarterback Jon Kitna will reportedly be placed on injured reserve on Tuesday.

I fear this may finally be the beginning of the end of Kitna as a starting NFL quarterback.

This is an interesting development.  Does this mean they are not happy with Orvlosky?  Or does this mean they do not think Drew Stanton is ready?  Or, do they think Culpepper should be the starter?  VERY INTERESTING development.

Brought to you via "the Gridiron Newsstand", Culpepper signed... to more than just a one-year deal...

Things are primed for Culpepper to step in sooner rather than later.  From "The REAL Feed":

ORLOVSKY DOUBTFUL FOR WEEKEND
Sporting Life: NFL (04.11.2008 06:43)
Detroit Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky may miss this week's game against Jacksonville.

And, here's the official word on that... from atop "The REAL Feed":

Lions might start Culpepper 5 days after signing
SI.com: NFL (05.11.2008 12:46)

I personally think this is (yet) a(nother) disaster in the making (for Culpepper... owners)...

Hall of Shame awaits Lions as NFL's first 0-16 team
USA TODAY: Sports (28.12.2008 23:19)
Futility followed the Detroit Lions to the frozen tundra Sunday. Despite playing with spunk and battling back from a 14-0 deficit, ...

Answer,... no, it doesn't...

Nice finish here....   losing 23 of his last 24 games.....  At least he will go in the record books and be infamous.
