Not really a surprise here...  More just a reason to get the Brownies in-season report thread here finally kicked off. From "The REAL Feed":

Winslow still in the hospital with mystery illness... according to "The REAL Feed":

Browns' Winslow remains hospitalized with illness
ESPN: NFL (11.10.2008 12:49)
Browns tight end Kellen Winslow remains hospitalized with an undisclosed illness, making it more likely he won't play in Monday night's game against the New York Giants.

This is getting worrisome,... and I'm not talking from a fantasy perspective.  There's a chance I may cut the guy this week (in the GBRFL where tight-ends are lumped in with receivers, so he's not all too valuable), but I just want the guy to be okay.

ESPN: NFL (26.11.2008 11:58)

Time for Anderson to put himself back on display for the rest of the league... just in time for the holidays. A little window-shopping, NFL GM's.

This "Grad" is strappin' back on the helmet perhaps one last time...  Brought to you by way of "the Gridiron Newsstand":

"Gradkowski heading home to start at QB for Browns"

This is probably bigger news for fantasy footballers with the Steelers D on their roster ... than anybody eyeing up fantasy plays on the Brown O.

This kind of thing doesn't tend to work,... demoting your head coach to coordinator...  From "The REAL Feed":

Report: Browns may offer Crennel demotion
ESPN: NFL (28.12.2008 09:34)
There may be silver linings available for Brown coach Romeo Crennel and general manager Phil Savage after all.

If anybody can pull it off, it would be Bill Cowher.

As I thought,... ignore the post above.  Reality sets in.  From "The REAL Feed":

Savage out as Browns GM
SI.com: NFL (28.12.2008 18:58)

And likely so is Crennel as of tomorrow...

Crennel likely to learn fate in meeting with Browns' owner
NFL.com (28.12.2008 19:14)
Romeo Crennel will meet with owner Randy Lerner on Monday -- heightening the likelihood the Browns' embattled coach will be fired one day after Cleveland concludes its dismal season.

It appears that Cowher is "staying put" for another year...
