Just a heads up (as if you hardcore fantasy footballers needed it)... on a guy finally stepping it up in his career with this, his third team... From "The REAL Feed":
Bears Inside Slant: Lloyd Stepping Up Scout.com > NCAA > Division I-A Football (25.09.2008 10:34) The Chicago Bears came into the year with all kinds of questions at the receiver position, but newcomer Brandon Lloyd is proving to be one of the answers. Could he be the go-to guy after a 124-yard showing against Tampa Bay in Week 3? Get the Inside Slant from the NFL experts at Scout.com.
Orton, however, hasn't ruled out playing this weekend against the Titans. He said that he's fortunate that the injury wasn't worse and he's progressing nicely.
I wouldn't count on Orton as your QB this weekend with the injury, and even if he does play, the Titans defense warrants Orton's benching.
Strap that helmet on tight Mr. Orton... You're in for a training camp battle... according to "The REAL Feed":
Bears GM to target QB to compete with Orton ESPN: NFL (30.12.2008 17:11) General manager Jerry Angelo made it clear Tuesday he's in the market for a quarterback after his team went 9-7 and missed the playoffs for the second straight year, although he's not necessarily ready to give up on the one in place.
I'm sure we'll be reading a ton about this on the "Bears Offseason Report" thread...
