Jets makin' moves... according to "The REAL Feed"... This first one has significant, albeit indirect, impact, mainly on Thomas Jones... REPORT: JETS RE-SIGN RICHARDSON Sporting Life: NFL (27.02.2009 10:44) The New York Jets have re-signed full-back Tony Richardson, according to a published report. Now, looking from without... Sources: Bart Scott offered $40M to sign with New York Jets ESPN: NFL (27.02.2009 12:25) The Jets and Bart Scott's agent, Harold Lewis, have agreed in principle to a five-year, $40 million deal, according to multiple sources, but the deal still needs Scott's endorsement.

A youngster, quite literally following in the footsteps of Antonio Gates, to keep an eye on... From a LOCAL source on "The REAL Feed": Jets' Bullock trying to be like NFL star Gates Newsday.com: New York Jets (02.05.2009 21:31) FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - So far the only thing J'Nathan Bullock and Antonio Gates have in common is they played for the same college basketball coach, albeit at different schools. Oh, and then there is this yadda-yadda coach-speak BS... Jets offensive coordinator: Clemens leads rookie Sanchez in QB derby NFL.com (02.05.2009 20:46) Mark Sanchez zipped passes all over the field with precision Saturday, looking very much like the franchise quarterback the New York Jets expect him to be. That doesn't necessarily mean the starting job is Sanchez's to lose -- yet.

Professional athletes in America are SO spoiled... The solution to the Jones' contract situation this following writer presents, though surely tenable, still seems to me like reaching for straws. Thomas, you just got paid on average 6.5 million PER YEAR over the last two years. What are you so hard up for? I mean I understand the whole market comparison game (the ill of our market capitalistic economy), but are you really in need of the cash? And, if so, what kind of precedent is that... to set for your own life? And, if not, the present state of our economy [and the Obamas' $50,000 to $100,000 (propoganda) play date ] aside, give me a break! At any rate, from a LOCAL source rolling off "The REAL Feed": Here's a way to appease Jones and Jets Newsday.com: New York Jets (30.05.2009 18:43) From Bob Glauber's NFL Insider blog. From "The REAL Feed": Calvin Pace suspended for first four games Scout.com > NFL > National Football League Team (02.07.2009 13:52) Calvin Pace of the New York Jets has been suspended without pay for the team's first four regular-season games of 2009 for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances. I am fairly impressed with the kid's basically taking immediate responsibility for his actions. |
| This is going to leave a nice big hole in the Jets D. Vernon Gholston has been a disaster, so it will be interesting to see who the Jets plug into the Def. With Ryan being the coach, you have to like the Jets chances in the future, but how long will it take for them to be transformed into the RAVENS of the AFC East?
