NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, citing a league source, reports that Chiefs QB Matt Cassel signed a six-year deal worth over $60 million, with $28 million guaranteed. The deal is worth $40.5 million over the first three years, which puts Cassel in the upper echelon of contracts.

Unclear in anything I read is who is the primary back up?  Is it Croyle or Thigpen.....  nothing seems to be too clear about that.
