Indianapolis Colts end 13-year relationship, release wide receiver Marvin Harrison

Colts owner Jim Irsay scheduled a quick press conference to announce the release of one of the greatest players in Indianapolis Colts history -- wide receiver Marvin Harrision.

The fate of two retired Colts assistants who could still return as consultants remains cloudy. But Colts quarterback Peyton Manning said Friday he is now comfortable with the resulting changes.

I don't really quite understand all this business (I guess it's to get out of their "coaching" deals before they lose their pensions), but a couple "coaches" are coming back incognito... according to "The REAL Feed":
 
Ex-Indianapolis Colts coaches to start as consultants Aug. 1
ESPN: NFL (07.06.2009 08:33)
Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay said Saturday night that former coaches Tom Moore and Howard Mudd will begin their roles as team consultants on Aug. 1, according to the Indianapolis Star.
 
I guess that'll please Manning.
