I don't know what it is with "certain" AFC West teams and crowded backfields, but... here's another. Neal, I think, could be a nice addition. If he still has "it", he could really help open up some holes for McFadden, Bush, Fargas & Co. From "The REAL Feed": Raiders add fullback Neal, running back Russell to crowded backfield NFL.com (09.05.2009 14:58) The Oakland Raiders have bolstered their backfield bysigning fullback Lorenzo Neal and running back Gary Russell.

From a LOCAL source on "The REAL Feed",... here on Mother's Day, while the Raiders hope that Garcia can help with the birth of a great quarterback in Russell, old papa wants in himself: Commentary: Raiders mentor Garcia yearns to play The Sacramento Bee: Sports (10.05.2009 03:16) Undrafted out of San Jose State, Jeff Garcia spent five seasons in the Canadian Football League before forging a long NFL career.ALAMEDA - This is going to be interesting. Kind of a side story,... but one that impacts team morale, the team's performance, and, thus, touches upon fantasy... From "The REAL Feed": Reports: Oakland Raiders coach Tom Cable punched assistant ESPN: NFL (17.08.2009 16:56) Raiders coach Tom Cable reportedly hit one of his assistants at training camp headquarters.

You know... I know the Raiders are a team surely in disarray, but don't discount the savviness of old Al Davis just yet... Don't get me wrong... I'm not going to endorse the selection of Darrius Heyward-Bey, but, given how the Michael Crabtree situation has unfolded... right across the Bay mind you, and with the economic state of things in Cali playing in Crabtree's mind according to some sources, don't go necessarily thinking that the old geezer didn't have the inside scoop on how things might unfold with Crabtree. If that reasoning doesn't work for you, how about this...??? There also have been reports about Crabtree's being somewhere between a bit of an oddball and a downright nut-job. At the very least, it takes one to know one! Anway, the point is, I'm not so sure old Al didn't have some insight on this, one way or another, going into the Draft...
