This thread is for some of the less remarkable (say, as compared to Favre's or Vick's situations), but still notable of the NFL's homeless... We'll kick it off with two,... one from a LOCAL source, the other from the NFL's "official" source,... both from "The REAL Feed": Rehabbing RB McAllister: 'I want to play a couple more years NFL.com (15.05.2009 21:36) Thirty-year-old power runner Deuce McAllister doesn't want to be the embittered player living in denial about the effects of age and injuries on his game. He does, however, still want to win a Super Bowl -- as a player. AGENT: 2 TEAMS TARGETING PLAX NY Post: Giants (16.05.2009 07:20) Two NFL teams are "very serious" about signing former Giants receiver Plaxico Burress, his agent said yesterday. Drew Rosenhaus used his Twitter page to announce, "Ran wind sprints with Plaxico Burress. There are at least 2 teams that are very...

| Plaxico needs to settle the charges against him so he can start playing sooner. He would be smart to settle sooner rather than later because you know Goodell is going to suspend him a few games if not the entire year depending on what he pleas too. But if he is not signed and has not settled the case, then his suspension will just linger on and on.....

| This is a really interesting situation to watch. IF this goes to trial, the trial will probably not be until AFTER the season. So essentially, Plaxico has the opportunity to play 1 season before going away for 2 seasons in jail. However, what the commissioner does in regards to suspending him also will come into effect. The commish needs to make a decision quick as teams are not willing to give Plax a shot not know what type of suspension will occur. If the commish decides NOT to suspend Plax until after the trial, then Plaxico is TRULY a 1-year hired gun. Rumor has it the commish and Plax are meeting this week. Being someone that has Plax in a keeper league.... I have my fingers crossed!!!

In the wake of the Favre retirement announcement,... how about this one for an oldie, but a... comeback??? From "The REAL Feed": Jeff George thinks he can still play LA Times: Sports (27.07.2009 22:09) The former NFL quarterback says the league lacks quality quarterbacks and it would be 'wonderful' to have a shot.In case this Brett Favre thing doesn't work out for the Minnesota Vikings, or Matthew Stafford doesn't pan out with the Detroit Lions, Jeff George has a suggestion for a possible repla... Oh, and how about a quick Plax update... from the Feed???
