How about another little game? Playoff Predictions

Keyshawn's Wild Wild Card/ Playoff Predictions This is simple enough, leave your playoff predictions right here, after it's all said and done. Whoever had the most correct predictions wins, maybe even a slight prize at the end provided by mahself. Maybe. In the case of a tie, the player with the closest score to the outcome of the game wins the tiebreaker. Simple enough? Good luck, you're going to need it against me. Oh and one last little thing, you must leave ALL playoff predictions on the same post, just to make this a bit more "difficult." Deadlines are before the first Wild Card Game AFC Wild Card 1/4 - 1/5 Colts vs. 17 Jets 24 Browns vs. 10 Steelers 7 NFC Wild Card 1/4 - 1/5 *Upset Special Muahaha* Yeah, I know Packers are undefeated at home, but I have a really big gut feeling that the Packers will lose this game, I can look really stupid for making this pick, or really smart. Packers vs. 17 Falcons 23 Giants vs. 27 49ers 24 AFC Divisional 1/12- 1/13 Jets vs. 27 Raiders 31 Titans vs. 24 Browns 10 NFC Divisional 1/12 - 1/13 Tampa Bay vs. 17 Giants 7 Philadelphia vs. 27 Atlanta 17 AFC Conf Finals Titans vs. 31 Raiders 38 NFC Conf Finals Tampa Bay vs. 20 Philadelphia 14 Oakland vs. 7 Tampa Bay 10 Well there you have it, my totally "UNBIASED" predictions. Good luck. (Edited to made more "neat".)

| Dude, you can't change your picks. I'm not going to say that ain't fair because I guess we all can do the same thing (those who happen to log on today before the games that is), but that ain't right! Isn't this supposed to be about what your feeling was before the playoffs began? All the rest of our picks were made like that. Yours are the only exception. You got to watch the results of yesterday's games, which doesn't help you know today's results, BUT it does let you strategize according to our picks AND what happened yesterday. My ONE way to catch you today was for Pittsburgh to beat Cleveland. Now, there is NO way for me to catch you. This is cheese! Change your pick back, or count me out. Added after edit... Just so the only example I give is not just about me, there is also no chance for FourTwoOh to pull away from you, either, with this change of yours. As time for you to change your pick dwindles, I realize more and more how much this taints things. It is actually (potentially) brilliant strategy on your part. You say to yourself, "I'll pick 3 of 4 upsets and adjust according to how Saturday night goes and the others' picks." This makes your picking the Falcons right out of the gate like you did a MUCH LESS bold pick. I guess it was Atlanta OR Cleveland, huh? Maybe not, but one could surmise this way. I guess what is bending me out of shape here most is that this is exactly this kind of thing I want to avoid on "the Gridiron". This is exactly the kind of childish, panty-waste bullshit that you find on some other sites. I want dudes here to be straight up about their shit and be men about it and not create circustances for pussy-ass arguments like this. Come on, dude! Be a man and have some balls here and go with your original picks!

I was going to give you 'til the end of the game(s) to change your pick back. BUT, I am realizing that almost nothing can be done with any purity now. If you wait until the end of the game and Cleveland wins, it is not going to be very "noble" of you to change your pick back then. Even now with Cleveland's impressive early drive, your reversion would be tainted. Basically, I have made my decision on what I am going to do... I am OUT unless Pittsburgh wins AND you change your pick back to Cleveland. That is the only solution, dude! Sorry! You set the deadline; you, too, have to play by your rules. I hope it is a lesson learned because it applies to real life as well, much more profoundly actually, as this kind of thing is just a microcosm of real life. Just think Enron!

| He picked the Jets and Falcons. You picked the Jets and Packers. But, what does it matter, anyway? I have my clicker on the "Remove" link for my picks right now.

See the thing is. I always had the Steelers pick. You can find my picks at FFToday.com for proof. When, I came on here, I realized that I had Cleveland picked for some reason. Yes, I did revamp my picks as two wildcard games had already been played, though, it was LATE Saturday Night when I changed it. Also, if I changed my picks to what had happened that day, I wouldn't. I would have left Cleveland as is because on Saturday there were mostly "upsets." It's not so much as I changed a late decision. I realized I had chose the wrong team, and edited it to late. If anything, I'll change my picks back it doesn't matter.

I don't know why I chose Cleveland, considering, I had the Steelers picked on FFToday.com and friendly bets with friends. I got no response to my last message, so I'm guessing, no one cares anymore? As for me not being able to pull away from FourTwoOh? We have different picks..... |
| No, that ain't right! I did not respond to your prior post assuming that you would do the right thing and take the loss. Listen, I was having second thoughts on one of Sunday's games, as well, and if you had responded more expediently/expeditiously on Sunday, I was actually seriously considering switching my pick from the Giants to the 49ers. You never did respond on Sunday, so I decided to follow your rules and not further the problem by going and changing my pick as well, which would have tainted this even more. You set the deadline, dude. You gotta' stick with your original picks or, as I stated above, I'm out, and I don't give a shit what you picked at FFToday. You picked Cleveland here. Maybe you decided to do that here BECAUSE you took Pittsburgh there and wanted to play it a little "looser" here as this is the smaller site. Listen, you go 3 - 1, count me out and continue on with your other buds (but I am hoping someone else here gets my back), despite the fact that I was the first one to join in on this thing and help you give it life, OR you go 2 - 2 and I remain in. One other thing, as for your statement regarding FourTwoOh, you're wrong. With your change, you had the same exact picks as FourTwoOh. Anyway...

| I'm sure you made the change in good faith, but you have to look at it from our perspective. You said the deadline was before the start of the first Wild Card game and you should stand by your original post.

I'm in no way cheating, or trying to cheat. I also believe that you need to just calm yourself a bit and realize, that I said, I would change my pick based on what people thought. So I i will. I'll take the loss, it really doesn't matter. It's a game, made for, being fun, and only that. There's no reason to get riled up, a mere, can you please change that pick back, you went against your OWN word, would have been better. I was waiting to see what everyone else thought on this, they have spoke, I will update the stats later tonight. Sorry for the inconvenience, might as well give me a handicap 'cuz I'm still going to kick all your guy's asses. Muhahaha.

KJ 76, thanks for comin' through on this! As for the way things are gone about around here, understand that I am trying to mold my fledgling forum and site in a way that will deter future deterioration. I tend to take a proactive approach to things, i.e. run a tight ship, and I think that is the best way to achieve one's objectives and ultimate success. Suffice it to say, I am not about fluff. There are certain precedents I want to set; particular patterns I want to encourage; all to meet a high standard I want to achieve here. So, I tend to elaborate. That is all that verbiage above really is. I just hope you are knodding your head right now, understanding whence I am coming, and game for wherever this thing might take us, and I mean that. I really do appreciate those of you who are contributing to this place now in the early going and will not forget that if/when this place really takes off. Besides that, I am a real evil bastard.
