Chris Brown
Runningback
Colorado
6-1, 220 pounds

Chris Brown,  has all the skills to be a feature back in the NFL, gifted with good speed, size and strength. He has excellent vision and is a good open field runner. He also has good hands, making him a threat to catch a pass out of the backfield. While he does have good speen, he doesn't have a great first step burst. His durability is a question mark as well.

Draft Prognosis: If he would have stayed for his Sr. year, he'd have been a first round selection next year. He'll go in the second round this year. I'd love to see Detroit grab him (He'd make a great future three headed monster for Mooch with Harrington and Charles Rogers for year to come, that is if they draft Rogers in the first round this year...). He could also go to Dallas, Jacksonville or New England

You think Detroit would draft a RB that high with James Stewart still in the fold and performing well (when not injured)?

Remember that Detroit drafted Luke Staley last year and had Aveion Cason carry the ball quite towards the end of the year too.

I too believe that Chris Brown would be a good fit in Detroit.  James Stewarts constant injury problems would give Brown a chance to develop and thrive.  But I just don't see Detroit taking him with all there other glaring holes.

I see Detroit taking Rogers with the second pick, then drafting defense for the next 3-4 rounds.

I see him ending up in Dallas challenging Hambrick for the starting job by week 5.

The Lions do have alot of holes, like Corner, D-Line, O-Line and Linebacker if Clairborne leaves. Stewert is decent, but I think that if they build the offense up this year and go defense next year it would help the team in the long run. Hell, they can take D in round two and maybe even grab McGahee in round 3 or 4!!
