Kliff Kingsbury
Quarterback
Texas Tech
6-4 205 pounds

5,017 yards. 713 attempts. 45 touchdowns. Ridiculous numbers for any college quarterback. Kingsbury played in a very QB friendly system, to say the least. He has good size, can read defenses with the best of them, and has the quickest release of any of the quarterbacks in this years draft.  His arm isn't that strong, and struggles when pressured and forced out of the pocket. He could play at the NFL level in the correct system.

Draft Prognosis: I like the guy. I think he has the tools to be a decent NFL prospect. I can see Denver or Tampa taking a flyer on him in the third round. Or maybe the Raiders. Could slip into the fourth or further.

Kingsbury is my deep sleeper to be a success in the NFL.  He is very dedicated to bettering himself.  He is working out with a trainer and QB coach this off season.  I think he will end up with the Packers or Redskins.

He had a good year at Tech.  I watched him in that Texas Tech-NC State shoot out.  He has some serious talent.

First off, I have to admit that I do not know that much about the college players coming in at this time of year.  I'll have done my homework and know my stuff when it counts. At this point, BarnabyWilde is my    !
Along those lines, if arm strength is Kingsbury's "Achilles heel," so to speak , I don't see his being a good fit in Spurrier's offense, Dirk.  I have no clue ??? where he'll go, but based on BW's commentary, Washington is not the team that would come to mind.

By the way, have I mentioned my concern regarding this guy's middle name?  His middle name isn't Kirk, Kyle, Ken, Kurt, or something like that, is it?  If so, he is doomed!

I live in the Lubbock area and have seen Kingsberry play a number of times.  I would agree with previous posts stating that arm strength is his major weakness.  He is also not very mobile, but his field vision and quick release make up for this.  Kingsberry seems to be a great team player, competitor, and seems to be motivated to succeed at the next level.  I do like Kingsberry, but don't see him going before the fourth round.  Oakland or Denver seem to be a good fit for him.
