Checked for news on this on the Gridiron Newstand couldn't find anything at the time

This is a done deal the one below..

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots announced a trade with the Miami Dolphins today, obtaining a second-round pick in the 2004 draft in exchange for the second of the Patriots' third-round picks in 2003, the 78th pick overall. That third-round pick was aquired by the Patriots, along with a fourth round pick in 2004 and a seventh round pick in 2003, from New Orleans in exchange for safety Tebucky Jones.

With today's trade, the Patriots enter tomorrow's draft with 12 total picks and already have 10 picks in 2004.

Great INFO.....BUT, the title should be:

TRADE UP.

Weird since they are going lower in numbers but HIGHER in order.

I want to know who the hell they want.  Robertson?  Newman?  Rogers?  Johnson??

Here is a nice piece from "the Gridiron Newsstand" that illustrates the ripple effect of the Jets trade with Chicago on the Patriots trade with Miami; it also speculates on what New England might do with the pick and in the draft overall:
