Fellas, let's keep ALL commentary on the NFL Draft on this thread.  So far, it has gone as expected.  Not much to talk about that has not already been prior to the start of the Draft, frankly speaking!  BUT, when it does go awry, let's talk about it here on this thread!

Thanks for all of your anticipated cooperation!

Sorry that wasn't clear-- but I know you all know what I meant. Cardinals get Saints' picks, Saints take Sullivan...  ???

Now, I am gathering that the Saints pick of Sullivan was a weak one, no less they made a trade to move up and do it.  I also kind of gather that this was a bad move by the Cardinals too in even making the trade.  Could you guys put this in perspective for me?  I mean I know the names, but since this is not really my forte, I really do NOT have a "feel" for how bad these moves are!  PLEASE, help me understand!

UNBELIEVABLE DRAFT!!!!

5 Picks in less than 4 minutes.

Vikings miss their pick, Terrell Suggs goes to Baltimore(what a defense they will have), Trufant goes to Seattle, Leftwich to Jax.  All I can say is WOW!!!

I do have to say this, Ozzie Newsome is an incredible GM for Baltimore.

Oh, this is gettin' crazy now!  The Vikings have missed their pick.  Two teams, the Jaguars and Panthers, picked in between.  Then, the Vikings do not pick Trufant!  This is all seemin' "whack!"  And, moreover, I have to admit that I agree with Mortenson's take on the Jaguars' taking Leftwich.  I like Leftwich A LOT, but I do NOT like him in that system, and contrary to what Dennis Green said, system does matter.  How 'bout the Vikings pick?  The fans did not react well at all!  Now, given all the typing I have done here, the Seahawks have already picked, as well.  They got Trufant... seems to be that they are the big winners of this stretch that began with the Vikings missing their pick!  Is that right?  Blahhhhhh!

Thank God this draft is going by quick... I was starting to fall asleep...

Jax great pick in Leftwich

I love the pick of Baltimore with Terrell Suggs.

As the Minny "blunder" I assume they knew who they wanted and just didn't want to pay big money for the pick.

I'm not sure I agree with Cards move, but two mid round firsts seems to be very adequate compensation for one top 5 first round.

Dam, I think that Baltimore and Seattle are the big winners.  Granted, I think Baltimore wanted Leftwich, but Terrell is excellent value.  Trufant is a nice pick too.

I am not too excited about Leftwich in Jax either.  He will be on the bench for a while where as in Baltimore he had good chance to start sooner rather than later.

Two mid first rounders in a draft that has only "stars" in the top 15, after that it's only average players. Awful move for the Arizona... their organization is a disaster.

Great pick by StL in Jimmy Kennedy, that defense is starting to become unbelievable.

Also, a thing that some of you may like. ESPN.com provides a download to something very very similar that you would find on ESPN TV the Bottomline. It takes up some space, but, it's always up to date, I got the StL draft pick as I was typing on the bottomline.

It provides not only stories but scores. Look for it on the main page of espn.com and under downloads... all the way at the bottom left of the page. Great download, in my opinion.

With DE Haynes gone now   {Bears} KC best be grabbing either of the 2 lb's  on the board. EJ Henderson or a bit more of a "ranking" stretch, Boss Bailey.

Is Chicago STUPID?????????

Michael Hayes?   Southern University?  Why not wait til the 3rd round for him?  If you are going to trade at least make it worth your while.

AS I TYPE, Eagles moved up to #15.  THANK GOD!!!!

I am a genius.  I frgured they moved ahead of KC to take him.  I am very thankful of this move as a Philly fan.  They had to make this deal.  Eagles get a quality player.  Definitely an A+ move.

Smart move for SD too.  They are going OT and only Gross has come off the board.  They may even look even smarter when they trade the Eagles pick to the Texans.  Let's see if I am right.

Still waiting for that Ty Warren question of mine above to be answered...

BUT, did you just hear what Mort said regarding K.C.?  Holmes... a ?  Could very well go running back... like somebody around here has been professing? And, just now Jaws just said the same thing!  Oh my!!!  I think, as I said before, it is going to be Willis McGahee!!!

I do not want them to go RB, but if they do McGahee would be my choice. Priest is fine, draft defense.

By the way, my second choice of a RB for K.C. would be Lee Suggs!  Remember all of this is coming from the guy who has Priest Holmes in the GBRFL!

Not a bad pick.  I had him going very late in the draft, but it seems that everyone was taking DT.  HE is a solid player.  They probably would have taken a DE like McDougle, but they needed a DT more.

I still think Chicago made the DUMBEST moves in the draft.  Trading down to take a receiver that would be available later in the draft.

I think KC is going to go Linebacker. Boss Bailey and EJ Henderson.  Not one has been selected yet.  Very strange. T think Chiefs going RB in second round( with Suggs if available)

I knew Pittsburgh wasn't going to take Larry Johnson like they were saying!  They're future running back will eventually be... Ron Dayne! And, he will be good... as good as Jerome Bettis was during these late years (not last year) when he just would NOT go away regardless of the naysayers!  You heard it hear first!
