I Had Hi Hopes For 2003

Like most people I really had some hi expectations in July about my fantasy football team. I was looking to have one of the best line-ups in the league.

QB - Vick
RB - E.James
RB - M.Bennett
RB - C.Dillon
WR - Chad Johnson
WR - C.Rogers
WR - Rod Smith
TE - Todd Heap

Needless to say I'm 3-8 and eliminated from play-off contention. My team has had a record of 31-8 the past three season so this season is really killing me.

But I'm not going to stop playing the game because I know I will be back. I got rid of some dead weight for draft picks so I know my teams future is good.

So how many of you had your hi hopes washed away this season?

Im on the brink of fantacy death myself. Everyone in my league makes the playoffs. Its just that 6 go for the championship and 6 fight it out for the turd bowl title. The winner of the turd bowl gets the first pick in next years draft.
I'm 4 and whatever. I need to win out and I also need help. This is a bitter pill as Im the 2 time defending champion of this league. If you want to see our site, i'll leave a link.

I DIGRESS...
Great thread topic, man!  However, I am going to have to move this thread to where it should be based on our board descriptions.  So as to keep the site easily navigable by all and make information easy to locate, we like to maintain an organized environment.  A thread of this kind is more suitable "between the 20's".  That's where your thread here will be.  This is ultimately not a big deal 'round here as we have automatic move notices.  Thank you for your anticipated understanding and future compliance and care!

Opportunists, opportunists...

Well, at least I am not in dead last, like the pick I had.  Let's put this in context...  The CBFL is not really a league.  It's a "mock draft" we do here in June-ish that we just "play out" sort of.  "Sort of" meaning that there are no transactions of any kind after the "mock draft" and your weekly starting lineup is determined "automatically", so to speak, based on who your best performers were.  Ultimately, A LOT gets determined by pick number.  Out of just being cool, I gave myself the last pick, and then, moreover, two of my first three picks, Michael Vick (1st Round) and James Stewart (3rd Round) ended up with season-ending injuries (and there is no way you can react to help your team).  It's amazing that there is someone behind me (oh, that would be the guy with the 1st overall pick, arguably the second worst pick to have) and that I'm not too far behind 10th place.  Anyway, ...  For further information on the CBFL, three spots (probably including mine as per the rules) of which will be open to new players for '04, feel free to drop on by:

Do two leagus and in one I suck! and in the other I SUCK!!!!

I might win the toilet bowl sounds kinda like Stells Kings Turd Bowl..Ours is a toilet seat that you keep and sign. (This league in 4 years in it have never finished out of top2 so this is real dissappointing)

In the QFL I am making a late charge but started 0-4 so i was screwed from the beigining.

Is it me but maybe all of our teams are unpredictible because the NFL is going backwards not great teams and the old addage is true for the first time ever that any one can beat any other team on any given sunday.

Its like baseball...games might as well be pick em's.  @ examples the Packers and Dolphins both used to be unbeatable at home ( okay in the dolphins case 7-1 at home with a loss to the Jets every year) bvut now each team already had 3 home losses.

Kinda frustrating.
