In a tight one tonight...

...that I actually know the exact numbers for, for once this damn season (grad school = brutal), and it is tighter than my Batman underoos. GBRFL scoring system, I am up by 1 point going into tonight's game. He has Corey Dillon. I have given him the 6 points for "yards rushing", but actually I am up going into tonight by 74 yards. So, if Dillon rushes for 74 yards or fewer, I should win with a little breathing room. Now, if Dillon gets 131 yards rushing (unlikely) or 3 touchdowns rushing (quite unlikely) or bumps my opponent's currently paltry 3.22 yards-per-rush up over 4.20 (possible, but still pretty unlikely) OR 41 yards receiving (very, very unlikely) or 1 touchdown receiving (statistically unlikely, but ya never know with that kind of stuff) OR completes a 3-yard pass (extremely unlikely) or a pass for a touchdown (totally ain't happenin', I hope, but since I am being thorough here...), I'm fried. If he rushes for more than 74 yards, but fewer than 131 and none of the above occurs, I win by the 1 miniscule point I am currently up by! ... Are you ready for some football? I know I am!!!

This is, of course, assuming that (I can't believe I am going to say this) Priest Holmes does NOT play tonight and my backup Nick Goings, a (sweet, might I add) free-agent acquisition this week, remains in my lineup. I listed Priest as my #3 and Goings my #4. If the Priest plays, Goings's numbers go out the window, and then I could really be in a pickle. I fear then that, of all things, Priest Holmes would need to put up "Nick Goings" numbers. Oh, brother...
