Pick 12.  (Psssst.  We're pole people again, Philly.)

No prob.  I think I can find 16 guys somewhere in the NFL.

Welcome, rotoworldchris, Primetime and Dog (in the order you'll be drafting).

As much as I hate doing it, I had to leapfrog Captain Lou since his 3-hour window expired.  I hope he gets in soon.  But, ever onward.

Now, vis-a-vis a post I just put up on the CBFL board, this, on the other hand, is without a doubt intra-league business, not really relevant to the league onlooker.  Here is where you want to post stuff that fantasy footballers in general are interested in seeing, such as draft and player analysis, like the stuff currently buried down on the league board.

Thanks Callie.  I mentioned to BanrabyWilde at 1.06 that I wanted McGahee but there was no way he would fall to me.  I don't know if the good Cap'n had him in mind at 1.09, but I would have gladly taken Corey Dillon at 1.10 if that happened.

I was taking Willis with the 1.09 Philly. Nice grab. Davis was my next pick but I missed him by a few minutes as well. Dillon sure beats getting a stick in the eye though. I am happy with him.

In the second I felt confident that either Rudi or Curtis would be my number two. It would have been nice to
land a youngster like Rudi, but again it was not in the cards. I have complete faith in Curtis Martin posting yet another fine season. I doubt that he will match the lofty 2004 numbers, but a top ten back in my opinion for 2005 just the same. My backfield is old and dependable.
See ya in round three.

Talk about a nice long wait until 4.12.....

I thought long and hard about how the format falls into place and dictates the picks. In the end LT2 was the surest thing.  I thought about Holmes, McGahee and Peyton as well.  I just figured it's easier to replace the QB later. I was surprised that 1-2 more WRs/QBs didn't fall before the 2.12/3.1 pick. I had hoped that somehow 1 of Jordan, Westbrook, Martin or S.Jax would fall but alas none of them did. I'm happy with CBrown except his bye is the same as LT2s but if he's healthy he's $.  TO was a no-brainer. I expect him to be the #1 WR in the league this year.

Go back to your kennel, dog.

Man, 2 spots in front of me and CJ and Marv still on the board. I figured they'd both go, but I was hoping one would fall to me.    I went with JJ Arington as my 3rd RB. I think he'll put up some decent numbers.

I'm a bit surprised that JJ Arrington went already.  I thought he'd slide into the 4th round, where I would have considered him at 4.03.  I'd still like to see Marcel Shipp get a shot at the starting job (he's just a good guy from a small school - UMass - that I feel hasn't really gotten a fair shake).  But Shipp has an uphill battle ahead of him.

Arrington never would have made it to you there, Philly.  I was going to take him if he fell to me at the 3 / 4 pole.

BTW, rotoworldchris.  What do you mean you thought it would be easier to replace a QB later?  No waivers and no trades in this league.  (Frankly, I don't think you have a problem with that so far  )

Callie... I meant that I felt that my lineup of

LT2, RB, Top WR and then QB later would put up more points than Peyton, RB, RB, WR later.... I felt to get Peyton I was downgrading RB1 A TON and my WR1 a lot.  But if I went, LT2, RB, Top WR then the drop from Peyton to that other QB is less costly for my team.

Not to mention that TD passes are only 4-pointers in this league.  With that being the case, Manning at 1.03 seemed a bit premature.

Well watching McfNabb drop like a rock had me anticipating a possible steal late in the third. Great
value pick up Chump.

I was torn between Horn and Gonzo. I decided to take the clear advantage on at least ten teams by grabbing Gonzo. His production at the position is lights out, and I still think I can get a decent number one receiver to hang with a Horn and those thereafter. Happy to get
Gonzo as a consolation prize at the 3.09.

I was laying for McNabb to keep falling, too.  Woulda grabbed him as my next pick if I coulda.

As for Gonzo, he was also on my next pick list.  If I remember right, he was ranked as the 11th WR last season.  (A little help at my 12 spot with double duty at TE / WR.)

As far as Horn goes, I'm STILL not sure where I'd have taken him.  The fact that they plan to be a run first team in '05 and the fact that they have a tough schedule made me dicey on exactly where to rank him.  Fortunately, that decision is off my plate until the next draft.

I admit that Horn was a tough decision.  I knew I was going WR there and there were 3 I was considering.  The entire league knows that the Saints are going to be a run-first team, so I'm sure that Horn will get plenty of chances - besides, there's still really no one else to get the receiving yards there.

Javon may be the riskiest pick in the whole **** draft.  (Hope I didn't miss a news alert about him quitting the NFL to replace Leon in the commercials.)  But at the 12 spot I figured I needed to take a few risks.

Don't worry.  I plan on picking up Rosenhaus in the 16th as a handcuff.

Yep... the other 2 went right after I picked.  Andre Johnson and Javon Walker were the others I considered.  Walker worries me slightly with his contract issues.  I love Johnson and was hoping he'd slide to 4.03 as my #2 WR.  I just think that Horn will put up slightly better numbers than Johnson.

I had Michael Bennett already typed into my roster as my selection at 4.03 and, of course, Tony takes him at 4.02.  I thought Bennett wasn't on anyone's radar yet.
