Where to begin as I was eliminated from JYJ's "experts" league's playoffs? In that league, there really is A LOT of bitchin' to go around, not just for this week, but for their performances over the season taken as a whole... RB Fred Taylor, WTF... It was San Francisco, for God's sake. Furthermore, thanks for going back to being the injury-ridden Fred Taylor of old this year. BUT, most of all, WTF was up with my apparently solid set of receivers, which I somehow had accumulated alongside a CRAZY set of tailbacks, Joe Horn, Hines Ward and Jimmy Smith, most notably, but also, rookie disappointments Braylon Edwards and Mike Williams? Even Antonio Bryant, who I picked up during the season and had his best season to date, stunk when I used him, but rocked when on my bench. And, how about that Miami Dolphins D this week? Yuck! HOWEVER, all of that having been said, the BIGGEST goat here is ME... for leaving Tiki Barber ON MY BENCH!!! WTF was I thinking? That said, I was hell-bent on playing Taylor this week, and if I had gone with Barber and Taylor, all it would have done was turn a roughly 35-point beating into an excrutiating 1.something-point loss. But, that having been said, the combination of ANY of my other three running backs, Parker, James or R. Williams, and Barber would have won me the game. As for the GBRFL, where I actually got a win, could have gotten two if I went with my "second" lineup for both games, a rough season is winding down and a one-win week is not bad, relatively speaking. That said, Falcons Michael Vick, who was in that "first" lineup, and T.J. Duckett, who was in both lineups, were god-awful. I mean I knew deep-down that Atlanta was likely to get pummeled outdoors in cold, windy Chicago, BUT I just thought Vick and company were worth gambling on in one of my two lineups as they had so much at stake and I thought they would at least put up a fight... WROOOONG!!! Also, thumbs down to WR's Eddie Kennison, who should have eaten up the Giants secondary, and Koren Robinson, who failed to keep his streak of solid games going in a game that he could have.
