You may have already noticed the NEW link to this in our featured section of links above... Here in year two, I'm looking to take the next step with this, our one-of-a-kind post-season fantasy football contest that takes you through ALL 5 WEEKS of the post-season! Here are the simple rules and guidelines: 1) Lineups - Each week your lineup will consist of three players, 1 QB, 1 RB and 1 RC (WR or TE). COMPLETE lineups are due by kickoff of the first game of the weekend!!! 2) Scoring - Simple... 1 point per yard, 60 points per touchdown. 3) Schedule - From Wildcard Weekend through the Pro Bowl... Wildcard Weekend - Saturday/Sunday, January 7th & 8th Divisional Playoffs - Saturday/Sunday, January 14th & 15th Conference Championships - Sunday, January 22rd Super Bowl XXXIX - Sunday, February 5th AFC-NFC Pro Bowl - Sunday, February 12th 4) The HITCH - You can only use a player once, i.e., once you have used a particular player, that player is unavailable to you again, i.e., you canNOT use any one player twice!!! If you do so, you will get ZERO points for that player for that week. Here is how it the contest will be administrated: 1) Weekly Lineup Submission - You are to submit your lineups either to "Referee" by instant message here on "the Gridiron": (Direct Link) http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/cgi-bin/theGridiron/YaBB.cgi?action=ims end;to=Mod1; or via the following thread: http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/cgi-bin/theGridiron/YaBB.cgi?board=56;a ction=display;num=1136197078. IT IS UP TO YOU TO AVOID USING A PLAYER TWICE as per the rules. Management is supposed to be a part of fantasy football. So, do your job! We don't baby people around here. Contacting you to tell you you made a mistake is NOT our job. And, do NOT submit your lineups late, please! Again, COMPLETE lineups are due by the kickoff of the first game of the weekend! 2) Score Tallying and Reporting - Our member bgsgfan a.k.a. Jeremy Miller or yours truly, Stevie Steg, will tabulate everybody's scores on a spreadsheet and we will report everybody's scores and the standings every week. A message will be appended to THIS thread with a link to the spreadsheet every week. You can check things out on the web: in HTML format at - http://www.ffplayers.com/postseasoncontest/postseason.htm (this is the page linked to up in the featured links section); and in Excel format at - http://www.ffplayers.com/postseasoncontest/postseason.xls. -"That's all, folks!" If you want to play, SIGN UP NOW HERE!!! Oh, and by the way, commentary can be put on this, the administration/commentary thread!!!

Gheeeeeeeeeez Looie Weezey! babe-bee, am I the first to post commentary mumBee jumBee on this thread Anyyyyyywho, I am back for my 2nd tour of this Gridiron Post Season Challenge. I don't ever expect to do to well with this only BEEcause I have too much responsibility in my league this time of year and as a result, don't have a lot of time crystals to spend out of my own membrane, researching stats and what-have-you. however, I am hoping to do better than last seasoning! Hoooooooooo, I mean-eth, I came in 2nd to last placings babe-bee!!!! Sumpinsssssssssssss gotta give! Anyhow, regardless, I am going to enjoy myself. I have some surprises this year that just might place me at a lower ranking than our BEEloved Philly's placement of last year's challenge, if they don't work out One thing I'd like to mention that caught my eye-ballings when posting my half-done lineup for tomorrow is that, Philly spelled his player's first names in full : Christopher Cooley, Thomas Brady................. In other words, if he were to start Big Ben, he probably would have typed out "Benjamin Roethlisberger-loids" ,.............or somethin like that. For no particular reason other than perhaps, I am tired right now, I thought it was funny as heck. Good luck to everyone this weekend!

Sorry for the delay, guys and (#1) gal! Monday, I did not receive my raw stats. Tuesday, again! So, I wrote TQStats an e-mail. It turns out that TQStats hath changed their policy regarding the provision of raw stats. They now charge extra for post-season stats. They used to be included in the package. So, in an effort to cut back on costs and since there really aren't that many stats to process during the post-season, I opted to just do it manually. BUT, ACTUALLY, knowing that I am already spread thin, my LOVELY wife, who, mind you, does not have loads of free time herself and who has worked on improving our Excel stuff here and who you all should be VERY thankful to... on MANY levels, stepped up and in and volunteered to do it (for one, to help me, but also because she wants to better see how it was done so as to get a greater grasp on the process so as to better understand how to go about improving our stuff). She herself is a team player... and, mind you, she barely knows what American football is. If only more people (who actually do take from the site) kicked it up just a notch,... Anyway, anyway, anyway, most of you are the good ones,... so I'm just preaching to the choir... ... Here's a link to the post-season portal page: http://www.ffplayers.com/postseason.htm. ENJOY! And, thanks for your patience.

| Looking at the submissions, about half (or more) of us went with Shaun Alexander this week, so maybe it won't hurt as bad since we're all in the same boat. Fortunately for me, I went with Brady over Palmer last week and Santana Moss had a nice start for me this week, so I'm not ready to jump on a soapbox and start screaming.

Then again, who didn't pick the Colts to win the Super Bowl? Since I don't want to jinx anymore players/teams, I think my next weeks lineup submission will be: QB: Burger King (Is that Kordell Stewart that plays him in the commercial? The King shows some very impressive scrambling ability.) RB: Jamal Lewis RV: Diet Pepsi Machine This way nobody gets injured or adversely affected. |
| BWaHAWwahHAHW bwaAbwabBAWHAW, JYJ, YOUR A BLAST BABE-BEE!!!!! WHAT A GAS! I'll trade you for the Burger King guy!!!! There is something REALLY freaky about him . perfect for an Insane Gang ManChise! Now for my Bayo-itching, Marvin Harrison. 2nd year in a ROW that you've not shown up in THREE of my Post Season contests. I can live with Houshmanzedah not giving me a big game - but a stud like yourself, help a KING out babe-bee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to everyone who has ridden Steve Smith up to this point. GREAT picks and foresight! I myself, seem to BEE blind to his potential. Well, I am hoping he is a Pro-Bowler (where have I been?) so at LEAST perhaps - if not using him against the SeaHawk's 25th ranked pass-D , I can use him in the end in Hawaii.
