Here is another one of our fun participatory threads here "between the 20's".  It is called "between the 20's Fantasy MVP's of the Week".  Here, you are to list your key player(s) for the week, the one or ones that were key to your victory(ies).  I really think we can have some fun with this! You can expect this to be up by Wednesday from here on out!  HAVE FUN, fellas!!!

There is also a complementary weekly thread to this one for the opposite circumstance:  "between the 20's Weekly Bitchin'"!!!  Make sure to check it out!!!

In a battle for a first-place standing in the Giants of the Gridiron FFL, I went into Monday night trailing by 4 with Donovan McNabb and Trent Cole still to play.  My opponent (the esteemed DirkDiggler) had a small lead with 4 players still going (Donald Driver, Donte Stallworth, Nick Collins, and Mike Patterson). Donovan McNabb came up big by throwing 2 TDs (neither to Stallworth) and running for 2 more. In the end, it wasn't even that close.

Of course, you needed my team to knock out the only undefeated team left.......and thanks to a team effort the task was handled.

In the GBRFL2, the Dallas Defense came up huge with a TD score, turnovers and an overall good performance. Steven Jackson scoring for the first time this year, Julius Jones netting 100+ and a TD, as well as Duece scoring a TD helped me to 2 wins this week. For the week in all my leagues, I was 5-0, hard to complain with that!

A win by the skin of my teeth in JYJ's league... primarily on the backs of three players:  Peyton Manning, Terry Glenn and Eddie Kennison.  Thanks for carrying us, fellas.  A game ball each...

A loss, filled with average performances, in the GBRFL isn't going to prompt a whole lot of game balls.  Charlie Frye's performance was valient and gives me hope, though, and Muhsin Muhammad, Eddie Kennison and the Falcons D/ST were surely not to blame.  I hope the rest of the squad can bring it up to that level as the '06 season rounds first base here...
