First, I say we do this week-by-week as opposed to making all the predictions now... a) it will keep the work in reasonable chunks, b) it will keep the thread alive, c) it will allow us to make all our choices in the proper context... I mean who the hell knows how things will look come Week 17 when the last of these games are played! Okay, without further ado, here we go (I must admit, though, I am not very good at picking games straight up... that's a gambling thing, and a gambler I am not): Week 5 Denver 27 - San Diego 17 Any other "AFC Westies" want to join in?

| You can have it! I won the one that really counted, anyway, right? How 'bout them Donkies? I do LOVE the Priest, though, I must say!

This is a coin toss, especially given the way Oakland is playing as of late and the fact that the game is in K.C. I think tricky Dick Vermeil probably gave Mikey Martz across the state a call and inquired about what kind of stategies they used in beating up da Raidahs and handing them their first loss two weeks ago. I think the Raiders are still punch-drunk and they are visiting a difficult venue. Also, as my buddy FourTwoOh there is headin' to the game and I am a nice fella ... Kansas City 42 - Oakland 41 Good luck to your Chiefs and enjoy the game, man! Nothing like live NFL action in late October, or anytime for that matter I suppose.

MNF! National spotlight! The match-up my twisted mind has been looking foward to for months! Romanowski vs Sharpe! I wan't a BRAWL! NFL Films better be mikeing the both of 'em up. What faint hope the Chiefs have at climbing into a playoff spot would be best served by a Bronco loss. I can't quite convince myself that this is what will happen, but it's from that view that I predict this game. Gannon & Rice/Porter combine for 3 tds Shank gets a fg, Garner/Crockett get 1 td between them Raiders 31 Griese, forgetting to alter his drinking schedule, has poor game personally, while Portis as a personal best 160 yard rushing 45 yd rec, 3 td evening. Give Elam two fg shots and ya got Broncos 27 Nothing MAJOR, but give me an injury list several deep for both teams, and my ff football and reality football sides can enjoy the game together.
