Want your guys' take on something very important

Fellas, I have been tossing something around in my head (at the suggestion of a few) that could possibly generate more traffic for "the Gridiron". Not that I am not satisfied with where things have come, but I am thinking ahead to the offseason. How much do you think it would help things out if "the Gridiron" were directly accessible via the home page, http://www.fantasyfootballer.com, instead of being buried in the cgi-bin sub-directory? I would simply do this with a "Refresh" command on the "index" page that sends you to "the Gridiron" (the forum itself must remain where it is, in the cgi-bin that is, so that is one reason I would have to do it that way). I would also provide links to both "the Gridiron" and the "GBRFL" on that "index" page, but if nothing is clicked, it would "Refresh" you to "the Gridiron". Again, I really do not know where I am going with this "hobby." I am just going with the flow, trying to avoid doing the same ole' fuckin' hack that everybody else does. I do not know if I plan to build the whole FF information site around "the Gridiron" forum, using it as the main page, OR if I eventually would create a more typical front page with "the Gridiron" as just one feature (don't think I will take this approach, though) OR to what degree/how I will go about incorporating the FFLA, somehow creating a truly substantive, formal association of fantasy leagues. Anyway, I am not even sure when I would get to this, but I want your guys' opinion before devoting any time to even just pondering it. So, what do ya's think? And, at any rate, thanks for contributing to and being a part of it all.

I, too, have no problems with it the way it is. To be perfectly honest, I never go to the fantasyfootballer.com site. I'm not really sure why I would... I'm not involved with any of the leagues listed there and any sports/fantasy sites I'm interested in are already in my favorites list. I also have the Gridiron bookmarked and just come straight here. I guess it really depends what you're looking for Steg. If you want increased traffic, that might help to some extent. Getting listed on Yahoo or Google would help there as well. Logically, it would make sense to have a Fantasy Footballer home page, with minimal information, and links to the Gridiron and the GBRFL. But ultimately you have to decide what kind of site you want. I'll still be here in the offseason. I may not be on nearly as much, but I'll still be here and posting.

| Well, got the wheels in motion on the Yahoo and Google fronts. Keep a watch on for me, fellas! Regarding where I am ultimately going with all of this and the presentation of it all, I think I have boiled it down to two options, well, three I guess, with the third being just leaving things as they are. I am pretty sure, though, that I will eventually go with one of the other two options, albeit probably not until next year. More input is ALWAYS DEFINITELY welcome, at any rate!
