My night with Mother Nature - Meteors

Quick reap. Leonid meteor storm was tonight. I live on the very edge of one of Kansas City's northern suburbs{Liberty if any one's familiar}. 100 yard walk at the most from the front door and I'm wrapped up in a sleeping bag on the edge of a farm field, watchin the show. It was a good one. Unfortunately a full moon is also happening here, so it was awfully light, but the quantity was still so high, it made up for the lack of total darkness. Any body else catch it, or am I the only lunatic

Unfortunately I didn't even hear about the meteor shower until I turned on the news this morning, just about daybreak.

The last time there was a big meteor shower was about a year ago or so.  I remember bundling up and climbing into a sleeping bag and driving about a mile to a farmer's field at 4:00 in the morning.  My wife and I lasted about a half-hour before we were both frozen to the core.

It was quite spectacular though.  Had I known about this one I'm sure I would have been out there again.
