| For now, I can answer this one. You guys probably already know the answer, though. It is "YES"! A "sack" is a kind of "tackle."

What if the QB fumbles the ball in the backfield, recovers the ball himself, and then gets tackled behind the line of scrimmage? Does that count as a sack as well, or is the QB now considered a ball-carrier and it is just a tackle for loss? More importantly, if a QB is tackled in the woods, and no one is there to witness it, does it count as a sack?
