Our Hearts go out to the Jurevicius's & Dilfer's

If you don't already know, here is the AP story from CNN/SI:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/news/2003/03/22/dilfer_son_ap/ .

It is VERY sad!  I, for one, think that, debates about quarterbacking prowess aside, Trent is one of the genuinely good guys of the NFL.  He has a good heart, which he wears on his sleeve.  I hope the best for him and his family and wish for his little boy a quick recovery.  Let's all us Gridironers send out our good vibrations to the kid!  Express away...

This is so scary. I have a little boy and I can only imagine what the Dilfers are going through. I didn't even know there was such thing as a heart virus.  ??? Let's hope this sad story has a happy ending.

That is EXACTLY what I said when I first read the report, Walker!  Unbelievable, huh?

On a very much sadder note... Tampa Bay WR Joe Jurevicious, whom may you remember was on constant back and forth flights during the playoffs, due to an illness that was affecting his son...  sadly, his son has died... here is the news on this terrible terrible story...

A prayer should also go out to the Jurevicious family... Joe is a really good guy. I personally met him when he was still playing here in Jersey, and he's a very classy guy.

I was checking out how my Broncos did in the draft today and I came across this terrible news. Trevin Dilfer, son of Trent, has died at the age of 5 from heart disease. My thoughts go out to the Dilfer family.

It is just not right... and, moreover, Trent is definitely one of the good guys!

There are two articles currently near the top of "The REAL Feed" about Trent Dilfer's first public address regarding the passing away of his little boy.  Worth a look-see if for no other reason that grounding yourself!
