A question for FourTwoOh... FourTwenty, 420, 4/20

FourTwoOh, I just learned something very interesting tonight.  Yes, I watch "CSI: Miami"!  What is the meaning behind your handle, "FourTwoOh"?  Is it THE meaning?  And, if so, why would you give yourself such a name?  What is the purpose of that symbolism?  Or, do you NOT want to divulge/discuss any of this?  Hmmmm...

4:20 equals pot smoking time. 4/20/xx equals pot smoking day of days. I was about to turn 42 at the time I needed a new handle somwhere else. Which elicited an "oh my" type of feeling. So it was simply one of my passions that had a nice dual meaning to it.
 
What did CSI say it was?

CSI: Miami must have read your biography.  Well, their emphasis ended up actually being on Hitler's birthday.  But, before that came out, the bad guy's of the show, three high-school boys called the "FourTwenty Club", had these shirts that said the club name with a marijuana leaf.  The detective's first assumption was that 4:20 was when they got together to smoke pot (your ideal pot-smoking time).  It so turned out that the "FourTwenty" meant 4/20 and they were actually not smoking the pot, or at least that was not the main thing they were doing; they were selling it to fund the purchase of weapons to use in a Columbine High School-style killing spree.  So, there you have it.
 
Listen, I've smoked my share of pot, during college years primarily, but I am not the toker you are, oh great one! So, question...  Is 4:20 commonly known to be "prime tokin' time" among pot smokers?  Just curious!

Accounts of where the 420 pot reference was born is widely disputed.  I tend to believe the story that places it's roots with a group of early 70's high schoolers from southern California, the city name escapes me, got together after school at a specific park to light up.  
 
The most popular wrong one has it as 420 is the section of California penal code that applies to pot laws. Not true.
 
Bottom line, who knows? II personally have only been aware of any cannabis connection to 420 since the mid to late 90's. It is 100% ingrained as a pot smoking staple now.
 
Just googled 420 +cannabis +origin and this wraps it up pretty well.
