Just a heads-up for you addicts like me!  This news is currently atop "The REAL Feed":  the schedules for the openings of team minicamps have been announced.

Minicamps suck. Personally who needs them? Tony Gonzalez and Jimmy Smith didn't need them... only thing they're good for is injuries and pissing fantasy players off cuz of the damned injuries...

Here's a REAL awesome resource HOT off "The REAL Feed"...  It is one nice lightweight page to refer to for the opening dates and locations of all 32 teams' summer training camps.

http://www.nj.com/newsflash/sports/index.ssf?/cgi-free/getstory_ssf.cgi? s0400_BC_FBN--NFLTrainingCampD&&news&newsflash-sports.

Enjoy, fellas!

The link you are referring to talks about team training camps, not mini camps.

I'm actually going to get to Eagles training camp for a day this summer.  I've never been to one, so I'm looking forward to it.  Now I just wish the Eagles would release their daily training camp schedule so I can plan a good day.  None of this no-hitting stuff... I want to see some good old-fashioned training camp melees.

Philly, I went about 4 years ago (maybe, I'm not positive--- it was Donovan's rookie year) to one before I moved up north. And that was the 3rd year in a row. You'll REALLY enjoy it. Besides people like Ike Reese charging 30 for an autograph (hah), you get a great idea of the Eagle atmosphere. It's ashame Al Harris is gone; he was an extremely funny guy. I would stand behind the rope with my oldest son and actually not watch the practice, but listen to him crack on someone all day. Haha, anyways, have fun and report back with some juicy news for us on how Buckhalter is going to tear it up this year Is training camp still out at Lehigh University or whatever?

Yep... still at Lehigh, although I guess you caught at least a couple of them at West Chester.

I definitely won't be shelling out a cent for an autograph.  I think autographs (especially for adults) are silly anyway.

I would have loved to hear Al Harris and Hugh Douglas talking it up, but I'm sure there will be others with their mouths going.

I'm really interested to see how Simoneau looks at MLB, how the rookies (McDougle and Green) fare against Runyon and Thomas, if LJ Smith is as good as reported, and if McMullen could be a legitimate starter at WR this year.

Yeah I saw 2 at West Chester and the last at Lehigh. They got real nice place over there; if you've never been there, don't be driving too fast when you get close, they have some nasty hilly roads that are worse than roller coasters.

But yeah, Simoneau and even Nate Wayne should be fun to watch and see how they can replace last years' crew.

Like you, I'm also excited about the DE's but we all know what McDougle is capable of; I'm more interested in Green. He tallied more sacks than McDougle over his college career, have you heard anything about him having a chance to be thrown into the starting D-line rotation?

But those types of roads are the most fun to drive on.  I'm a bit of a driving enthusiast... now if only I had a car I could be enthusiastic about...

I have no worries about Nate Wayne replacing Barber.  At least I've seen what he can do when he started in GB.  Simoneau is still a bit of a mystery, although he can't be any worse than the dreck they had there last year.

From what I've heard, they plan on using all 5 DEs (Burgess, Whiting, Kalu, McDougle, and Green).  But that's the propaganda coming from the Eagles nest right now.  We'll see...

My first post in this thread referred to your first post.  It mentioned minicamps, when it should have mentioned training camps.  I replied to your first post before I read down further... anyway, that is water under the bridge...

As for the second part, I know when rookies and veterans report for camp for the Eagles... I am looking for a more detailed daily schedule listing practice times, when they have two-a-days, when it is full contact, etc.  I would hate to go on a light day and watch them stretch and then break to watch some video.

Sorry for confusing this any further...
