I have no problem with Shanahan's decision to lie about Plummer's injury. He only had 2 QB's on the roster and he said what he had to say in case Beuerlein went down and Plumer was forced to come back and play. In other words, he was protecting his player. Isn't that part of his job? As far as the jersey goes, who really cares? That's just media mumbo-jumbo... bla bla bla bla.
I beleive the media makes a big deal about very little things.
As proved by no fine what he said about the injury didn't break any rules. He could have easily said what every other team says ............we are investigating further and doing x-rays.
The jersey thing is a total non issue. Does it really matter?

I may not be correct very often..........but I am always willing to give an opinion.
I don't care that Shanny lied about Plummer's injury, but he should have just said that he didn't know what the injury was at that point. There's no reason to label it a concussion or anything else at that point.
Also, the NFL has rules that the home team gets to decide on their jersey. Why should the Chargers have to scramble at the last minute to find a different jersey and play at a disadvantage in their own stadium?
So, all in all, I agree with the NFL's response to both situations. The lying did not deserve punishment - just a clarification of the rules. The jersey incident did deserve punishment.
