This was destined to have its own thread. I ultimately need a place to make announcements about things going on at "the Gridiron Store" like special deals and whatnot. So, along those lines, right now I'd like to apprise you all of the $1 shipping promotion at "the Gridiron Store @ Overstock.com"! Don't miss out! To check it out, go to: http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/store.htm! Make a purchase and give "the Gridiron" a hand... hell, a whole standing ovation if possible!

Fellas, with the holiday season upon us, I am taking inventory over at the "Gridiron Store". Today I have done some window-dressing at and gone about restocking "the Gridiron Store @Amazon.com". There are MANY new goodies. I remembered some guys this year were asking about materials on youth football coaching. I also know that many of you are in the baby-making years and have young children. Besides that, there are a NUMBER of items of LIMITED STOCK, some rare, some hot-sellers that should catch not a few of your eyes. SO GET ON OVER LIKE NOW AND START YOUR HOLIDAY SHOPPING!!! Again, regardless of the items I have chosen to put up here, just make sure to click on through here on your way to Amazon.com. Anything you purchase there by way of clicking through here I get credit for. Hell, you can ignore the items I've selected. ... Just, please, if you like this place and want to see it continue to 1) exist and 2) grow and are going to do any shopping on-line at Amazon.com or Overstock.com anyway, make sure you and your wife come through here to do it; it would be a bit of a sin not to... if you are going to anyway. Also, pass the word along to your friends and relatives. Thank you! And, happy shopping,... I hope... "the Gridiron Store @Amazon.com" is located at: http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/store1.htm

Happy Memorial Day Weekend, everybody! To kick off the summer, I have gone ahead and inventoried "the Gridiron Store @Overstock.com". It is all stocked up with NEW summer goodies of all kinds. Enjoy... and know that your spending helps out the "cause" here on "the Gridiron". Here's a link to our Overstock.com store. http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/store2.htm. You can get to all "the Gridiron" has to offer by way of the following link: http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/store.htm. AND, REMEMBER TO DO ALL OF YOUR AMAZON.COM AND OVERSTOCK.COM ON-LINE SHOPPING THROUGH "the Gridiron Store"! You do NOT need to just by the items I feature. Just make sure to CLICK THROUGH "the Gridiron Store",... and, please, by ALL MEANS, pass the word on to your wives, friends and families! The only way I can really earn anything substantial by way of "the Gridiron Store" is if it happens en masse! SO,... start doin' that summer shoppin', my fellow Gridironers!!!

Fellas,... the holiday (shopping) season is upon us... ... If you want to lend a hand to your beloved site here, "the Gridiron", besides by way of making a direct donation, try to do as much of your holiday shopping through "the Gridiron Store" and tell your wife to do so and your family and friends. If you or anyone you know uses Amazon.com and/or Overstock.com anyway, it's a sin, if you love this site, NOT to do so via "the Gridiron Store". Just click through "the Gridiron Store" and we get a (modest, albeit) commission. Here's a direct link: http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/store.htm. Thank you in advance.

Guys, I just spent the last couple days finally updating our Gridiron Stores. Boy, did they need it!!! Also, a BIG addition has been made, a BRAND-SPANKING-NEW store has been added!!! We now have "the Gridiron Store @ Buy.com"!!! Like the other two, it is sweet, and it is stocked with all kinds of special goodies that I picked out with you all specifically in mind. There are definitely some items at all the stores some of you will look at and be like, "Steg was probably thinkin' of me with this," and you'd probably be right. As for the new Buy.com store, the first handful of individual featured items displayed are TAILORED to us dudes and dudettes here on "the Gridiron". You've got to check it all out,... and remember you all and your families and friends should all be doing all of your on-line shopping at Amazon.com, Overstock.com and now Buy.com through "the Gridiron Stores"; if you love this place, it would be a sin not to: http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/store3.htm. But, by the way, this (also) is NOT the big thing that's in the works and coming soon that I made reference to on the "Offseason on 'the Gridiron'" thread... ... But, "the Gridiron Store" is surely one of the nicer amenities and areas of the FantasyFootballer.com site...

Guys, regarding the new inventory,... First off, my ALL-TIME FAVORITE childhood game, which I would play with Gridironers and GBRFLers Flesh is Fantasy (Dave Trout) and dowens11 (Doug Owens) though I MUST admit I preferred playing it alone, frankly speaking, is available in one of the stores. Old KKS and I used to talk about it. Does anybody have a clue what it is? Jeff, I picked out something just for you, and, Jim, there is an item there that I selected with you in mind. And, all you Gridironer golfers, one of the stores has all kinds of goodies for yous... In any event,... whether it's for Christmas, your birthday or just because it is hot as hell out and you deserve it for providin' for the clan, you guys should be sending your wives over to "the Gridiron Store" in droves.

| I'm guessing the book about athletes transitioning from collegiate to professional football is the one you had in mind for me? I'll have to check it out. I'm sure Jim will appreciate your selections for him: "Football for Dummies" & "A Complete Idiot's Guide to Football" & "Football Rules in Pictures" (for when those words in the other two books get to be too much).

I recently picked up a book titled, " I am Jeff West, and I know everything there is to know about football; pro, college, fantasy, arena, pee-wee, flag, etc... Pretty boring read though.

| This is too good a set up not to take advantage of: Is it the first item listed? Touch and Feel You used to like to play it with your friends, but yet you enjoy it the most by yourself? And if you look, that really is the first item listed!!!

| Alright, seriously, gotta be electronic football. I remember as a kid spending hours(and hours) watching the guys vibrate all over the field and praying your RB or QB would stay straight!!!

| Yes, at "the Gridiron Store @Amazon.com". (The opportunist in me couldn't resist the chance to pimp here... I know not a few of you have children (of the right age for this toy) that you want to bring up on America's greatest sport, FOOTBALL!!! ) Anyway, good one, Stevo... on Aug 5th, 2006, 8:14pm, DirkDiggler wrote:| Alright, seriously, gotta be electronic football. | Yup! Good job, again, Double D! I LOVED that TOY SO MUCH... from, I would say, age 10 to about... 17. I still say/like to think that I'm going to pick it back up again someday... ... I think it was that toy more than any football I played (poorly) in high school that acted as the precursor to my LOVE for fantasy football.
