Free-for-all board...

...sort of. I mean sort of lied (hence, the employment of the "up to something" smiley)... not completely, though, as you will see. I just wanted to get you all's attention regarding this important issue. As some of you, who pay keen attention to things around here, know, FantasyFootballer.com, with its main event here, "the Gridiron", is only one of Steggie's internet (ad)ventures, and even though the other one might seem to be totally unrelated, IT IS NOT... by way of their connection to me! In truth, the success of one can create the (fiscal) conditions for and hasten the success of the other, and, truth be said, this other venture offers MUCH more in the way of "tangible" (financial) potential and "real", sustainable viability as I elucidate below. This other venture is theEnglishMaster.com (and Internetstitute.com), and its success could carry "the Gridiron" to the promised land; whereas, the reverse is very unlikely. The reasons for this... 1) On the "active" side, "theEnglishMaster.com & Internetstitute.com", as a service provider first and foremost, vis-a-vis "the Gridiron @FantasyFootballer.com", as an information provider first and foremost, has MUCH GREATER PROFIT potential. 2) Despite the popularity in America of the hobby of Fantasy (American) Football, "The English Master" a) caters to a MUCH WIDER global market b) in a much more fundamental and general way. The services/products sold at "theEnglishMaster.com" have "real", intrinsic value to a MUCH BROADER audience than does "FantasyFootballer.com". 3) Probably most importantly, on the "passive" side, even though web-site/cyber/e-business ventures do not require as much or the kind of overhead that regular "real-world" business ventures do, "actual" and "future potential" overhead here is MUCH GREATER than it is there while the "bang for the buck" is MUCH LESS. Even as small-time as both endeavors are now, I still pay for one (fairly key) "extra" here, "The REAL Feed"; whereas, I pay for nothing there, including whatever extras. Also, given the relative natures of these ventures, this place is MUCH MORE high-maintenance than that place: I "spend" A TON MORE time day in and day out maintaining things here than I do there. Here it is constant updating, which is part of the "information" biz; there, I get an order, I have work... I don't, I don't. MOREOVER, and I don't know if this is an actual coined term in economics, this place, if it ever does "grow up", will require MUCH GREATER "staff overhead". At "theEnglishMaster.com", "essential" staff or staff "for the most part" equals either 1) revenue: "staff" marketers, proofreaders, translators all generate a very precisely quantifiable amount of revenue; or 2) savings by way of avoiding outsource expenditure: "staff" computer programmers, translators (again), bookkeepers all save an amount of money that is "essentially" quantifiable. Whereas, as concerns the usual kind of staff for a site like "FantasyFootballer.com", whether OR NOT a "premium services" membership fee is established (which, I have stated MANY TIMES, I do not want to do), it is virtually impossible to even estimate the value of any given article writer, correspondent or moderator. ACTUALLY, hiring staff at "theEnglishMaster.com" would be indicative of "real financial and company growth"; whereas, hiring staff at "FantasyFootballer.com" would be more just about "what I can afford". 4) And this is kind of an extension to number three... As long as you have the time, which I have had, to put into gaining the know-how, the start-up costs of a site like theEnglishMaster.com are relatively little, i.e., time put in can "really", substantively mitigate bottom-line initial costs. But, with or without the know-how, to really get a fantasy football site off the ground, you need some initial working capital to cover the significant costs of opening a "full-blown" information dissemination-based site, i.e., there is less you can do to reduce bottom-line initial costs. And, as I have "alluded" to before, I am doing all this on a shoe-string budget and do not want, especially given my tenuous fiscal world, investors, who add outside pressure, or loans, which add inside pressure, neither of which will "really" help. ... Well, that's that for that! Now, the reason for elaborating on all this NOW is due to something, by way of which you guys could somewhat, but, nevertheless, substantively be helpful to "the effort". To increase traffic over at "theEnglishMaster.com", I have a built a message-board forum and I just launched it yesterday. How useful would it and the other services at theEnglishMaster.com be to you all? Well, that depends,... both on what you do AND, moreover, how you look at it... things. But, in any event, if you care about this place, as I explained above, you "do" have somewhat of a vested interest in "things" over there and in, perhaps, lending just a little bit of a hand. One EASY way NOW available to you all would be to join the forum over there and at least help me boost that member count. As for a couple notable things that would be of interest to you all regarding that forum... You will immediately notice ALL the striking similarities. You will definitely be able to tell that it is a Steggie effort. It is more of a "professional" forum as opposed to this place, which is more of a "hang out" forum; as such, there are fewer frivolities and more professional features. Generally speaking, it will be much less moderated. And, in true Steggie fashion, I gotta infuse some sense of humor into it. You guys gotta see what a member's initial title is upon joining. The joke will probably go over the heads of most non-native English speakers, especially the far-east Asians, but, given the context, it will surely give you all a hardy, and hearty, chuckle. ALSO, it could be a great place to meet up with some HOT Asian chicks ... And, to bring this around full-circle, there is a FREE-FOR-ALL board there called "the 'Speakeasy'",... clever name, I thought. So, you want some "free talking time", you could take it over there. The forum is located at: http://www.internetstitute.com/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.cgi. Lastly, if you want to take your helping "the effort" up a notch and also help yourself in the process with a little supplemental income and get in on the ground floor of something that is sure to "have its day", it would be VERY WORTH your taking a look-see at "theEnglishMaster.com" job listing on the "International Help Wanted!" board in the "'The Classifieds' - Jobs Boards" section. I invite you to! The "Jobs Boards" section is specifically located at: http://www.internetstitute.com/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.cgi#2. Well, I appreciate all of you guys digesting this and considering/being considerate of, with an open mind and heart, the circumstances and "bigger picture" and how you can make a difference. - Steg

I thought that would be a nice thank you to let you guys be able to sport those high member numbers you are procuring! ... It's been a long day, fellas! Steggie here needs some serious ! The Korean girlies are startin' to cum through!!! The newest member, "pusanamy"! Sounds hot, huh? It just cums naturally to them, or should I say unwittingly. Pusan is well known for its HOT and SLUTTY chicks! I know firsthand,... "bothhands"... ... So, the rest of yous, get on over, not just to help me boost the member count now when I really need to, but to... "help yourselves"... ... Then, there is also an irony part to this. The first "other woman" to sign up over there uses the English name "Amy". That was the name of my main college sweetheart whom I dated for over two years, lived with for over a year, "fraternity pinned" (no, not a dirty thing for those who don't know) with 50 of my brothers holding candles, singin' our fraternity hymns and the whole nine yards and even talked somewhat seriously about marriage with. Interesting!

Received this lovely, flattering message earlier today from yet another "return client" who used the "Proofreading Service": "I'll get back to you in a couple hours on what type of file worked best last time. thank you, oh and I got the highest 'A' I've ever gotten in that english class, thanks to your help!!" I believe she is an exchange or international student studying at some college in the States. In any case, makes me feel good about what I am doing, the service I am providing, the endeavor I am undertaking (against the odds),... making a "tangible" difference. I wouldn't be surprised if that quote above there finds its way onto theEnglishMaster.com home page. Anyway, point being, got any documents or papers you'd like to have given a once-over, guys? Know of anybody who might, high school or college students, professionals, whose jobs often require them to write or communicate by writing, but aren't professional writers? Hell, you could even stand to gain... big-time, potentially: http://www.internetstitute.com/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.cgi/YaBB.cgi?board=9;a ction=display;num=1084580725.

Along those lines, KKS, everybody, we have a Yugoslavian girl, Sanja, who loves hanging out in the chatroom, but since we are in the oh, so early going, it ain't hoppin' yet in there. So,... when visiting here, if you can just open up an extra window and have it on there, that could be helpful. For one, it would make it seem like more people are hanging out there. ... Anyway, up to member #93!

First of all, Bill, thanks for just asking... Again, the "upswing" potential of that place (to finance this place... in the long-run) remains extant. I appreciate your ability to see the bigger picture, Bill, and then see it as it applies to these ventures and then (be willing to) act on it. Now, in specific response to your question, since we are now at 103 members over there, , I am going to be sending a mass "thank you" e-mail out to everyone who has joined on and helped me (start to) get that place off the ground (side note, I would like to see some of you "mutes" over there take it up a notch; do know, though, that, given the milieu there the classifications overall over there are much less witty than here). Along with that e-mail, I am going to "promote" a couple "group participation" threads. Two of the three will definitely be quickies, very fun ones though, that will not take much of people's time. So, keep an eagle eye out for that e-mail and those threads! Besides that, as for right now, you got the NBA-NHL playoffs thread over there in "the 'Speakeasy'". Some more help with that, so I am not for the most part talking to myself , would be helpful,... and, know, in relation to a little debate that went on above, I myself am barely interested in the NBA and NHL (relative to the NFL, at least), no less their playoffs this year given the teams. That's not (at least) the (whole) point, though. The point being, Bill, e.g., you live down in Florida (near Tampa, right?), throw up some BS about the Lightning on that thread. That would be something. ALSO, MOREOVER, scroll down to the "Pay Services" boards and comment there, especially on the "Proofreading Service" board, which is currently my bread and butter, or should I say crumb and speck of lard. Just make it up... whatever, man! The same goes for the "FREE Services" boards. Just say whatever kind of makes sense given the venue! Again, thanks for offering to lend a hand, friend!
