I certainly don't want to diminish his actions... as a former lifeguard I respect and admire his quick action and the fact that he saved a life...

But did anyone hear him getting interviewed about it?  My god, man, show just a little bit of humility.  I wonder if he could pat himself on the back just a little more?  And I wouldn't be surprised if some of the conspiracy theorists out there thought he staged the whole thing just for some positive PR (because he certainly isn't getting much of it in recent weeks).

Now he's going to be played out as this bigger than life individual.  And he's still just a slimy man who happened to do a very courageous and very selfless thing one day.  Why are we even hearing about this?
