The Bane of Domes

Despite the anomaly of the '99-2000 Rams, who had just arrived from the outdoors in Los Angeles, and even they struggled their way through the playoffs and Super Bowl that season to a degree people weren't thinking they should, another case in point of the "Bane of Domes" was evidenced today. The Seattle Seahawks, after just a few years of playing outside, is going to their FIRST Super Bowl EVER despite their fielding some solid teams back in the day in the Kingdome. Of course, this is not even to mention the most OBVIOUS case in point this playoff season of the, by and large, totally unanticipated demise of the Colts. Football is an outdoor game. I say get rid of these damn domes. I digress... I'm tired of hearing all of the whining about cold games or, moreover, cold-weather Super Bowls. That's the way it was back in the day. Has the (love of the) almighty dollar turned us into that big of a bunch of pussies? Anyway, putting your NFL franchise in a dome is just making the mountain they have to climb unnecessarily steeper. The kicker is it may be simply because dome-play is just so against the nature of the game... Anybody else have to add here... so that we can be 4/5ths of the way to a nickel, at least.
