Title: A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Member! Post by StegRock on Jan 17th, 2003, 1:23pm Fellas, I wanted to finally formally welcome Jim O'Dell and his QFL into the Fantasy Football League Alliance (FFLA). At this point in time, he and his webmaster have gotten all of our league logos and links up on his home page, definitely a step in the right direction for their site. ;) Links to each of our "Standings" pages will be forthcoming. In any event, I am so glad to have you officially in this thing at last, Jim. I really look forward to what you, the QFL and its members bring to the table by way of being VERY active on-line. Here is a link to the QFL site: http://www.tlang.addr.com/qfl/. The logo for the QFL is up there (as well as on the GBRFL front page (http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/)). A note to Jim... you probably should prepare a one- or two-line blurb about the QFL to send to Morris Cohen for our FFLA page at the NAFFLIU site (http://www.geocities.com/naffliu/Partner.html). Well, that's about all for now! Congrats to our newest member, Jim O'Dell and his QFL! Be in touch, all! I am... ...Your Friend in Fantasy Football, Steve Stegeman Commissioner & Webmaster, GBRFL/CBFL |

Title: Re: A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Member! Post by StegRock on Apr 22nd, 2003, 10:10pm Hey guys, I wanted to extend a warm welcome to our ninth FFLA member, Jon Cirrinone, his web site "Fantasy Football Frenzy" and his league, the FFFL. I have already gone about adding the FFFL's logo and links to the GBRFL home page (http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/). Wait 'til you guys see the FFLA display on Jon's home page: http://www.geocities.com/geniuswithwords/fffhomepage.htm. VERY nice! One note, though, Jon, we are going to need you to somehow incorporate links to all of our "Standings" pages on your site (note: right now the DBFFL's is not up); actually, some of the rest of you need to get on that, as well. This is one of the ways we are trying to "substantively" bring our leagues together. There is no rush on this, though. This is something you can deal with when the season rolls around. Also, Jon, you will want to prepare a one- or two-line blurb to send to Morris Cohen for our FFLA page at the NAFFLIU site (http://www.geocities.com/naffliu/Partner.html). Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS, Jon! I look forward to your league's being part of our family of leagues. You bring a lot to the FFLA table! Well, be in touch, all! I am... ...Your Friend in Fantasy Football, Steve Stegeman [smiley=smileytrash.gif] Commissioner & Webmaster, GBRFL/CBFL |

Title: Re: A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Member! Post by StegRock on Apr 23rd, 2003, 5:34pm Just a quick note... I just a bit ago got the FFFL logo up on the CBFL home page. Anyway, the way the FFFL "football-player" logo is "going head-on into" the QFL "football-player" logo looks DOPE! You gotta' check it out when you get a chance: http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/cbfl/. |

Title: Re: A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Member! Post by PA Outlaws on Apr 23rd, 2003, 10:28pm I'll update the SBFFL site tomorrow. Not a lot of time tonight! Thanks for the new logos Steg. I also like the way the QFL and FFFL logos look. [smiley=bow.gif] |

Title: Re: A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Member! Post by PA Outlaws on Apr 25th, 2003, 4:00pm Steg, I updated the SBFFL site, but the new transparent CBFL logo just doesn't work to well. I like that logo better, but the blue font on the logo just can't be seen! Would you mind if I changed just the font to yellow, so I can use the transparent logo? Just a thought! Let me know what you think! Boy I need a [smiley=alcoholic.gif] |

Title: Re: A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Member! Post by StegRock on Apr 25th, 2003, 4:12pm First of all, PA, I just went to the SBFFL URL and it said that the page was not found. Have you moved yet? As for the CBFL graphic, sure, go for it. BUT, I would prefer your trying it with white rather than yellow. White fits more into the CBFL's color scheme than does yellow. Also, when you do it, PA, make sure to "paint-can" ALL the areas. That font does have some broken-off, jagged pieces that you are going to have to watch out for very carefully. Sounds all good, though! Press on! [smiley=bow.gif] |

Title: Re: A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Member! Post by StegRock on Apr 25th, 2003, 7:00pm Okay, PA, your site's back up again! Have at it! I'd like to see how the CBFL logo with the transparent background will look. |

Title: Re: A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Member! Post by PA Outlaws on Apr 25th, 2003, 10:08pm Steg, I hate fucking Geocities. I am changing over to Hostica.com, but I just don't have the time right now. I want to be able to spend some time on it when I do. Hopefully within the next week or so! Anyway I changed your logo to a white font. Actually, I really like it! I think it looks so much better. Let me know what you think! |

Title: Re: A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Member! Post by PA Outlaws on Apr 25th, 2003, 10:11pm Jon, I was also wondering if I could use the buttons that you created Jon? I think they are great. I would like to incorporate them into the SBFFL site somehow. Not sure how yet. Do you mind? |

Title: Re: A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Member! Post by Cirrinone on Apr 25th, 2003, 10:29pm Nope I don't mind at all; it's perfectly fine by me. But I'd have to create a 88x31 for FFFL so you can add that to them. That shouldn't take long. When you look to add them, let me know, and I'll somehow get you that image. |

Title: Re: A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Member! Post by StegRock on Apr 25th, 2003, 10:58pm PA, geoshities is at it again. I have been trying to go over to the SBFFL site intermittantly over the past hour. No love! |

Title: Re: A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Member! Post by StegRock on Apr 25th, 2003, 11:53pm Okay, PA, I was just able to get onto your site. Here are my takes overall: 1. The CBFL logo looks dope! Great job! 2. Do the same thing with the "QFL" part of the QFL logo and make the letters white! I am sure Jim will agree and if he doesn't, he'll let you know, anyway, right? But, trust me, that shit'll look dope, too, with white letters! 3. In your left frame, put a line break, <br>, not a carriage return, between your SBFFL button and your "Home Page" link! It'll look sharp! Well, you are doing an awesome job, man! Keep up the great work! |

Title: Re: A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Member! Post by PA Outlaws on Apr 26th, 2003, 10:32am I thought the CBFL logo looked SWEEEET too! [smiley=thumbsup.gif] I already have doe the QFL logo. I hope he doesn't mind! Thanks for the suggestions, I'll get right on it!!! And for the record, I don't know why geoshities keeps doing that. I can't wait to get off of it! PA, the letters on the QFL logo remain blue. I did not see any change there. I say give white a try. I am sure it will look A LOT better, including to Jim himself. His logo would end up having a red, white and blue look... can't complain with that! [smiley=patriot.gif] [smiley=proudAmerican.gif] |
