Title: FFFL? Post by mcohen on Sep 18th, 2003, 3:39pm Hey, Anyone know what's up with the Fantasy Football Frenzy League? The website doesnt seem to be updated at all. Were they able to find enough owners to get the season started? |

Title: Re: FFFL? Post by StegRock on Sep 18th, 2003, 4:14pm Morris, all, I'm headin' out here on a trip and haven't had the time to respond to your e-mail. Sorry! :-[ Jon, ultimately, did not get enough owners to open the league. However, he is going to give it another try next year. He did, on the other hand, actually make some substantive contributions to the FFLA, like the league logo buttons and was overall VERY active and supportive during the offseason. So, I just told him that I'd remove his board from here since there was no reason to have it, but that it couldn't hurt for us to just give him a "bye", i.e. break, this year and give him another year to get his league off the ground. If he isn't up and running next year, then... So, that's what's up with the FFFL. Now, if you guys are not in agreement with this decision, tell me. BUT, I strongly feel that removing him and his "still hopeful" fantasy-league endeavors from the FFLA during this season would be a premature and inappropriate snub, moreover, of a guy who has a lot of passion for fantasy football and the FFLA and has contributed substantively. AND, ANYWAY, I myself am VERY uncertain of the direction of, and not really even interested in revisiting the whole FFLA project until next offseason. This past offseason was VERY harrowing for and discouraging to me, ultimately. In any event, though, the next 10 days are NOT a good time for me to be dealing with this. It was nice seein' ya' around, though, Morris! Be in touch, all! Sincerely, Steve Stegeman a.k.a. StegRock |

Title: Re: FFFL? Post by mcohen on Sep 22nd, 2003, 5:32am Have a good trip, Steve. I've just emerged from my hurricane ravaged hometown and landed back at school, and now tha I'm here and the season is getting going I'll be in and around The Gridiron more. Leaving FFFL in FFLA seems appropriate - the guy seemed to have a lot of energy about his league. Hope he gets it going next year. |
